In 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Spelunky 2, the 🔥merchants take the form of Shopkeepers who have managed to get their hands on valuable equipment and merchandise. Sure, there’s plenty of treasure to pay them, but it wouldn’t be surprising if you wanted to take their stock by force.
It would be so unsurprising, in fact, that the game seems to expect you to try at some point. But be warned, these humble merchants get a lot less than humble if you opt to head down that road. Here's everything you need to know about them and actually taking them on.
About The Shopkeepers
While exploring the caves of Spelunky 2, you’ll want to gather as much equipment as possible to give yourself a fighting chance against the RNG dangers. There’s always a chance you’ll find 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:useful or powerful items simply ꦓby exploring the area and looking for secrets, but you’d be better off simply stopping by the local shop.
These fixtures generate randomly and take the form of chambers surrounded by wood, with items in a line and the Shopkeeper at the back. These shops can sell a variety of gear, from bombs and ropes to weapons and backpacks. As long as you’re willing to pay the price shown, ꧑Shopkeepe𒉰rs are more than happy to give them to you.
However, if you anger the Shopkeeper in any way, they’ll kick into overdrive and try to take you down. This makes them one of the most dangerous opponents to encounter, but riskꦦing your life to defeat them can yield lots 🀅of rewards.
Angering The Shopkeepers
The Shopkeepers are normally passive but can be angered very easily even if you’re not planning on it. These are the main actions that cause Shopkeepers to aggro🐻:
- Attacking the Shopkeeper in any way
- Taking an item out of the shop without paying for it
- Triggering a nearby trap that damages the shop or injures the Shopkeeper
- In the Dice House, taking the dice and throwing it outside the chamber
- Using a Bomb to destroy part of the shop
- Since shops spawn randomly, it’s common to accidentally anger a Shopkeeper such as a misthrown Bomb or setting off a Boulder Trap
Fighting The Shopkeeper
Shopkeepers can be very dangerous since they’re armed with a Shotgun, move very quickly, and have over 10 hit points. Still, there are ways to beat them:
- If possible, arm yourself with a ranged weapon like the Shotgun to give yourself a fighting chance
- When you attack, you should be as close as possible since they have incredibly fast reaction times
- When Shopkeepers go aggro, they will fire wildly in hopes of hitting you so try to avoid staying on the same level as the shop
- The only weapons that Shopkeepers use are the Shotgun, Crossbow, and Freeze Ray, but they can be disarmed by stunning them with the whip or thrown object
- While patrolling the Shop, Shopkeepers are in a contained area which makes them vulnerable to Bombs which you can toss from up high
- An uncommon but effective tactic is to try and lure a Mantrap into the shop to eat the Shopkeeper, which will keep him stunned for a moment allowing you to land direct attacks on them
