It's been a good week for Spider-Man fans. Not only was Spi🔥der-Man 2 revealed during the PlayStation Showcase, but an Xbox 360 build for a Spiderꦕ-Man 4 tie-in game from Radicaಞl Entertainment, the developers behind Prototype, has been revealed.

. It's not clear whether or not Obscure Gamers have access to the build itself, or just have access to the footage, but it's our first look at the Xbox 360 version of the game. Previous leaks have revealed a Wii release that was much less developed.

and starts with Spider-Man swinging through the city. The mechanics look like they resemble Spider-Man 2's physics-based swinging, as you can hear the webline get taut as Spider-Man swings further away. Some of the swings even resemble Web of Shadows, with similar animations and noises.

Speaking of shared animations, this build of the game borrows a lot from Prototype, with Spider-Man having the same flying-squirrel jump that Alex Mercer had. The movement and jumps are lifted from Alex too, as is the mission fonts and lock-on mechanics. It's clear that a lot of Spider-Man was lifted from Prototype since the game was so early in development, but it likely wouldn't have remained this way.

The rest of the footage shows S♎pider-Man swinging through a very unfinished ci🏅ty, punching cars that actually get damaged and explode, and making grunting noises that sound hilariously not like Tobey Maguire. It then skips to a combat encounter with a helicopter, which looks straight out of Prototype and gives Spider-Man much more weight and power behind him. In a really cool moment, Spider-Man is able to attach to the helicopter and stick webs to the ground to keep it in the same area.

The footage ends by showing Spider-Man fighting agains🗹t some basic grunts. The combat seemed to have incorporated web strikes and jumps similar to Web of Shadows. Spider-Man is giv🐭en a lot more freedom to leap high into the air, but that seems to be the Prototype engine more than anything else.
