We sa✅y very different, the p😼uddles in the image had been mopped up a little. That was enough to send some people into a fit of rage.
No matter how many times Spider-Man's developers tried to explain that they had just made the puddle smaller, gamers fired back and claimed the game's graphics had been downgraded. Like everything in present-day pop culture, it eventually became a meme. Especially when Spider-Man's first update allowed pl🌳ayers to add puddle stickers to their in-game snapshots.

A little fun on Insomniac's part, but also the chance to show off exactly how great the game is going to look on PS5. What the🐟 developer doesn't want to do now, or does depending o𓂃n how confident it feels that players would get the joke, is add the above shot to the game, just with smaller puddles. If that happens, Insomniac will be committing to puddle-gate for the long haul and will have to include ever-decreasing puddles in all of its Spidey games going forward.
