Splatoon 3 Weapons Quicklinks
Splatoon 3 Weapons Overview
As already covered, there are a metric ton of weapons for you to choose from in Splatoon 3, covering a broad range of playstyles. There will be r༒anged weapons🔥 such as the Chargers, close-range ones such as the Dualies, and practically everything in between, almost guaranteeing you will find one that fits your specific wants or needs.
However, not every weapon will be available to you from the jump, and you ꦉwill have to put in a considerable a♐mount of time before you can obtain all of them. The section below will have everything you need to learn more about how to unlock more weapons in Splatoon 3!
Ammo Knights
All your weapon needs will be handled by Sheldon, who you can find within the Ammo Knights Shop from the Menu or when exploring the game's central hub, Splatsville. You will have to reach at least Level 2 before purchasing or unlocking any weapons from his shop, which can be done by playing the game's Online PvP Mode.
After obtaining Level 2, you will be rewarded with a Sheldon License and will be told to check out Ammo Knights for more information. Once there, you will only be able to purchase a handful of weapons but can test all of them out to see what's in store for you down the road. There will be 55 weapons for you to mess around with if you so wish, allowing you to see which groups are your type a🍷nd fit your general pla🥂ystyle.
How To Unlock More Weapons
Now that you have access to Ammo Knights let's go over how you can unlock more weapons in Splatoon 3. First things first, most weapons in the game are locked behind your Level, meaning you will have to rank your character up via the Online Multiplayer to get more powerful weapons.
But, meeting the Level requirement is only half of the process, as you will also need one Sheldon License to purchase a weapon from Sheldon. Every weapon only requires one Sheldon License, which you will obtain by increasing your Level or consistently using the same weapon in Online Matches. While there are 55 weapons in the game, there are only 30 Levels, making you have to stick to using the same weapon to earn additional Sheldon Licenses.
Blasters
Blasters are excellent close-quarter weapons due in part to their Ink exploding when traveling a certain distance, making them helpful in quickly covering areas in Ink or eliminating a target close to you. There are six Blasters in th🐠e 𒅌game, which we will cover more extensively below!

Shooters
Shooters are similar to the Dualies mentioned earlier and thrive at close to mid-range encounters. However, you can control your shots much more effectively because Shooters are only one weapon instead of two. Shooters are also significantly more accurate at medium range. These are also the most popular weapons in the game, with twelve Shooters total for you to unlock.

Splatanas
Splatanas are one of two new weapon types in Splatoon 3 and are excellent close-range weapons. While one may assume these would be a melee-based weapon, you actually propel Ink forward when performing a slash with your Splatana, dealing unmatchable damage on anyone on the receiving end. Though extremely powerful, there are only two Splatanas in the game.

Stringers
Stringers are our final weapon type and the second completely new one in the game. Stringers excel at mid to long-range encounters, having you shoot globs of Ink horizontally when grounded and vertically when airborne. Due to its ability to cover large areas with its exploding Ink, you can use Stringers to land hits on enemies hiding behind cover. There are only two Stringers for you to scoop up in Splatoon 3.
