Square Enix doesn’t know how many episodes Final Fantasy VII Remake will have because they’re still planning it out.
After one of the longest waits in gaming, Square Enix finally announced when we’ll get to play a remade Final Fantasy VII. They also revealed that this gam💯e will be a lot bigger than we originally expected.
The first episode of Final Fantasy VII Remake will arrive on March 3rd, 2020. It will span two Blu-ray discs and focus on the first part of the original Final Fantasy VII, which centers around eco-terrorist grou🐼p Avalanche’s ill-fated attacks on the Shinra Corporation in Midgar. That roughly corresponds to the first disc on the PlayStation 1 original.
This would lead you to assume that the second game might cover what came on the second disc of the original. However, Squa꧃re wasn’t willing to say because they’re actually still trying to figure that out.
“When we started out⭕ planning the plot for the first game, it hit us again,” said producer Yoshinori Kitase at E3. “At that point we decided we were going to focus first game on Midgar and what happens in Midgar. Unfortunately we can’t say anything more aboꦯut the future games, because we don’t know ourselves.”
According to a ෴report from , Square is working both on f▨inishing the first game while simultaneously mapping out what the second game will cover.
And these are all much, MUCH bigger games than what we might have played on the PlayStation 1. Final Fantasy VII Remake won’t just be a graphical update with voice acting in place of text--it will have more voice lines, more scenes, and completely revamped cℱombat system.
First is the inclusion of the ATB (Active Time Battle) gauge. Characters will attack automatically without the player’s input in real time, but once the ATB gauge is full, time will stop and allow the player to choose Materia and special movesℱ to attack with. There will also be a stagger gauge for enemies that will knock them to the🐼 ground and take extra damage.
Which is all great to hear, but if you’re hoping for a total FFVII to arrive on March 3rd, you’ll be out of luck. Final Fantasy VII Remake might be a decade in the makingꦅ for the whol💯e thing.
