168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy is undoubtedly one of the best JRPG franchises of all time, with each title playing a part in revolutionizing the RPG genre. Whether it be revamped battle systems, expansive stories, or unique locales, it goes without saying that each Final Fantasy game has been influential in its own right.

However, if one Final Fantasy title that was incredibly influential had to be mentioned, then 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy VII is an outright winner in this department. After all, JRPGs might've never exploded in popularity in the West had it not been for the breakout success of this title. The fact that this game is being remade for a new generation should be more than indicative enough of just how groundbreaking Final Fantasy VII actually was.

Final Fantasy VII's Materia system was a standout inclusion that made combat all the more tactical and refreshing. While everyone can list out some of their favorite Materia from the franchise, there are some absolute duds that also deserve to be called out as well. Here are 10 of the weakest and most useless Materia in Final Fantasy VII.

10 Cover

While the Cover Materia can be useful in certain instances — such as when it is used on a character in the🐻 back row to cut down t🌳he damage to 1/3rd — the sheer amount of attacks the party member will absorb as a result is just asking for trouble.

It's just better to let da𓆉mage be equally shared bet𒅌ween party members and be diligent about curing as and when required. Using an All Materia with Cure is highly recommended as well since it makes healing all the more economical.

🍌Basically, Cover Materia is a death sentence for the person equipping i𒊎t.

9 Chocobo Lure ✃

Chocobo Lure Materia FFVII FF7

There was a competition between Chocobo Lure and Enemy Lure for this position, but the fact of the matter is that Enemy Lure can still be slig🌸htly helpful if one wishes to grind for EXP or encounter rare enemies.

The only time a Chocobo Lure Materia tends to be used is when a Chocobo is needed to run past the Midgar Zolom. 🥂Aside from that, it's not required at all, since most of the🧔 best Chocobo from the game can be attained by breeding them anyway.

8 Choco/Mog

Chocobo FF7 FFVII Remake

Speaking of Chocobos, it's time to talk about the first Summon Materia that the party gets — Choco/Mog. While he might be somewhat useful during the early goings of Final Fantasy VII, the pa🌌rty soon receives a bunch of summons that ar♏e way more powerful than the duo of Choco and Mog.

This makes Choco/Mog useless for the majority of t♛he game's runtime. If nothing else, the animations of both its attacks are qui❀te amusing.

7 ღ Kujata/Kjata

Multi-elemental attacks in the Final Fantasy franchise are always a double-edged sword, and the same holds true for Final Fantasy VII. After all, a lot of enemies can either negate or absorb any element, making most multi-elemental attacks lar♒gely ♔ineffective.

There are two multi-elemental summons in Final Fantasy VII, with Kujata being the first one of the lot. His attack might be decently powerful, but the fact it coꦅvers multiple elements puts him at a disadvantage against the vast majority of enemies in the game.

6 Typhon/Typoon 🔴

Typhon FFVII FF7

The second summon that uses a multi-elemental attack is Typhon, a beloved character from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy VI. His appearance in Final Fantasy VII could've been really memorable, unfortunately, this summons' utility is hampered by the fact that most enemies will be unfa﷽zed 🧸with his Disintegration attack.

Typhon is worse than Kujata when it comes to utility since 🍸he takes a lot of MP — 180, to be exact — to summon as well. Coupled with♌ his general uselessness in battle, this makes Typhon one of the worst summons in the entire game.

5 MP Turbo

MP Turbo Materia FFVII FF7

On the face of it, MP Turbo might sound like a great Materia to have in ꦏyour collection. While the idea of spending MP for more power is no🅺vel, the Materia's usefulness becomes quite muted further down the line.

For starters, MP Turbo only gives a 10% damage boost at the first level. Subsequent levels improve the damage output but at extremely high MP costs, 🦩which is simply not sustainable in the long runℱ.

4 Gil Plus

The option to earn extra money in a JRPG is definitely enticing, especially in a campaign's early goings. However, any a🦩rdent gamer can attest to the fact that JRPGs pretty much throw money at the player's face after a certain point.

This makes Gil Plus fairly useless in the latter half of Final Fantasy VII when enemies are pretty muc🎃h throwi𝔉ng Gil at your party upon defeat.

Speaking of throwing...

3 Throw

When one talks about classic Final Fantasy moves, Throw and Gil Toss tend to be in contention. However, seem🦂s to have just thrown together — no pun intended — a Throw Materia without thinking it through.

Most weapons that actually do substantial damage upon throwing them are better off being equipped. Leveling up this Throw Materia unlock🍌s the Gil Toss command, which is just way too expensive to be used regularly in the game

2 Exit

The last thing anyone should make a habit in any JRPG is escaping from battle, consequently, Exit Materia is a co𓄧mplete waste of time and space. Even if you find yourself in a position where you have to escape f🔴rom battle, using the Escape command that the game itself provides is a way better option than sacrificing a Materia slot to accomplish the same.

The fact that players can't escape from boss battles is another reason why this Materia༒ is useless. While leveling up this move eventually teaches Remove — an ability that chucks an enemy from battle — the party doesn't earn EXP, mo♐ney, or drops from the enemy, making it nothing more than a waste of MP.

1 ⛦ HP<>MP 💛

Perhaps the worst Materia in the entire game, there's literally no reason why any player would want to switch their HP and MP values in Final Fantasy VII. ꦛAside from the obvious drawback of having an incredibly low health pool that won't let most characters survive a turn, there's no fight in the game that requires 9999 MP.

The absolute useless of HP<>MP makes it the worst Materia in Final Fantasy VII by a country mile. One must wonder whether Square Enix will choose to omit this Materia entirely 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:in the remake. Only time can answer that question.
