2019 i💛s already a considerably ♐big year for Japan-based video game developer, publish𒀰er, and distribution company, Square Enix. However, it seems that the company has to take the company 🦹to even higher heights.
In a to shareholders, Square Enix Preside🃏nt and CEO, Yosuke Matsuda, indicated that he intends to “aggressively expand” the company within the overseas markets.
The plan follows previous initiatives to expand internationally, this year, coming with a focus on acquiring and creating global partnerships with businesses in all but China, given the current uncertain regulatory situ🃏ation with the country.
Matsuda also indicated that one of the company’s “keys to future growth” will🐎 come hand-in-hand with the next generation of consoles, as well as subscription-based game st🥃reaming services.
“Against this backdrop of significant change, the current generation of game consoles has entered the late stage, and the next generation of consoles has become a topic of discussion in the digital entertainment industry,” Matsuda wrote. “In particular, game streaming services will be the ultimate driver of a rapid transition from the sale of games in boxes to digital consumption. Streaming also lends itself to🌳 new subscription-based business models, so we believe deciding how to engage with these forthcoming trends will be key to future growth.”

Babylon’s Fall, Battalion 1944, and Romancing Saga 3 are also planned for release sometime this year,🌞 not to mention wo𓃲rk being done on the Final Fantasy VII remake and the sequel to Final Fantasy Tactics, War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius.
