I won't deny the potential for a cloud-based experience to feel close to playing locally, but the current internet infrastructure in the United States makes me wary of this claim. Despite having a 200 Mbps connection, I s🉐till regularly get lag in games across all platforms. I really doubt that any special tech Google may have will be able to mitigate latency issues for all users.
Maybe there's something I'm missing, but this sounds like marketing talk. Google clearly wants people signing up for its service and is stretching the truth a bit to do so. I don't think Stadia is a boogeyman in the gaming industry, but it's also not going to replace traditional methods forဣ the majority of people. I see Stadia becoming a good way to test games before dropping money on them, which could validate it for many people.
Whatever the case, Stadia is coming. It seems Google is actually taking thi🐼s one seriously, unlike the various ot🌃her apps it has closed down.
