Stalker 2 still doesn’t have a release date, but developer GSC Game World has confirmed it will come to Xbox Game Pass on launch day. It'll also feature ray tracing and 4K support on Xbox Series X.

The news was announced by Zakhar Bocharov – PR Specialist at GSC Game World – in a . "We're progressing smoothly, including Xbox Series X|S versions as well," wrote Bocharov. "The aim is to deliver the product of the highest quality possible on every platform it's announced for. With fast SSD, RTX support (both Series X and S), and 4K-resolution (Series X), we're pleased to see how Stalker 2 is shaping up to be the ultimate experience we've initially promised."

Bocharov goes on to say that the team is yet to announce an official release date, but "you can be confident the game will come ﷺto Xbox Game Pass on day one."

The Xbox Blog post also contained a bit of new info about Stalker 2's narrative, as we learned the name of its new protagonist – Skif. We also learned more about how the game "actually feels." Bocharov said we can expect "fast-paced changes of scenery, ominous landscapes and the ever-present feeling of an inevitable danger." In other words, more of what made the Stalker series a cult success.
