The latest news from Ubisoft's E3 2018 pre꧟sentation is Star Fox's own Fox McCloud has joined the fray in the toys-to-life gam🔜e Starlink.

Starlink is ꦉan immediately attention-grabbing concept▨; players will be able to purchase real-life toy ships that can then be used in-game. The ships are modular, with players able to change engines, weapons, and pilots physically in order to affect their in-game avatars.

The game itself is 🎶a third-person action-adventure, spaceship combat game. The game allows players t𒐪o fly close to a planet's surface, or out in the void of space. Two players can share split-screen multiplayer, or more than two can play online.

Now, it would appear that Nintendo's Star Fo﷽x will be part of the Starlink universe, coming to the game alongside his own Arwing.

Evidence suggests that even the Arwing will be modular; the toy presented to Shigeru Miyamoto at the press conference seemed to contain connection spots (you can see at least one little black knob on the wing✃ of the Arwing).

In addition, Fox comes separ🍰ate from his Arwing - this suggests that other Star Fox characters (and perhaps even other Nintendo characters, like Captain Falcon) could take controls of the Arwing. Pilots in Starlink will each have their own stats and special abil𒅌ities, so we can only imagine what Fox will bring to the game.

This is the second major Nintendo-Ubisoft collaboration - last year's E3 🎐introduced Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle, a surprisingly well-received mixing of the Rabbids and Mario universe.

This also lends credence to the rumorsꦡ that Nintendo is planning a big Star Fox push at E3 this year. Could this finally be the year that Nintendo does right by the space vulpine?

Starli♋nk wi꧙ll be available October 16th, 2018 to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Star Fox will, naturally, be exclusive to the Switch.
