February 2019 was the last time new, iconic characters were added to Star Wars: Battlefront II. A🍰nakin Skywalker was the last to arrive in the game, with Count Dooku, Obi-Wan Kenobi and General Grievous all coming in the months before. And, for th🐟e best part of a year, fans have been bombarding EA with requests to see their favorite heroes and villains added to the roster.
And everybody was taken aback when it was revealed that BB-8 and BB-9 would be comi🅠ng. We now take a look at 10 characters fans of the Star Wars franchise would have preferred instead.
10 ♊ Poe Dame📖ron
Poe Dameron may have had his role significantly reduced in The Last Jedi, but that doesn't means that fans didn't want to see the Resistance pilot make his way onto the battlefront. He is, after all, a prominent character in both The Force Awakens and The Rise of Skywalker.
He was actually inten♔ded to be in the main campaign storyline but that mission was ultimately scrapped. Poe's X-Wing can be found on the planet o🥀f Ajan Kloss and it would make perfect sense if its pilot were to be included on the hero roster as well.
9 𒉰 Mace 🔥Windu
As mentioned above, Star Wars went all out when it came to prequel characters this time last year. Anakin, Dooku, Obi-Wan and Grievous were all included, having been key characters from George Lucas' second tril๊ogy.
But Samuel L. Jackson's iconic Mace Windu didn't make the cut. That's something we would love to see change in the future, with the prospect of wielding a purple lightsaber particularly appealling. He was also fun to play a🌌s in the game of the same name that was released on the PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC in 🌞2005.
8 ﷺ Padme Amidala
Despite there currently being 11 heroes and villains characters you can play as, there's just four females. Leia Organa, Iden Versio, Captain Phasma and Rey can all be used in the game, both online and off🤡line.
Yet the decision to omit Padme Amidala from the Clone Wars season seems rather baffling. Like her daughter Leia, Padme is a more-than-capable solider and, in the movies, holds her own both at the Battle of Naboo and Battle 🧜on Geonosis. We'd also love to see her appear in the future because of the skins that could be creat🍷ed. Imagine shooting at battle droids in her red Queen rigout?
7 👍 General Hux
BB-9 was a surprise due to the fact the droid appears fleetingly in just one movie - The Last Jedi. When it comes to bad guys from the sequel trilogy, Generꩵal Hux would have b♒een a much better choice.
Sure, there's no denying that Hux regresses as a character during The Last Jedi and when he dies in The Rise Of Skywalker. But he's still an intriguing and powerful enough person to be worth including in the game. And that's despite it emerging that he's actually a m🍃ole in the First Order...
6 Orson 🔯Krennic
The first Battlefront game introduced Orson Krennic in 2016, shortly after the character had debuted in Rogue One. And that was a popular choice among fans, many of which particularly enjoyed playing as him on the bea﷽utiful planet of Scarif.
Scarif is now returning, with EA announcing it as part of it's Age of Rebellion content for later this month, It would, therefore, make perfect sense to include an individual who was so heav🐈ily involved in the scenes that took place there in the blockbuster. It would also be stunning to see just how g🥂ood his cape looks with today's current graphics...
5 Jyn Erso
If you add Krennic, you've also got to put Jyn Erso into the game. She is, after all, the protagonist of Rogue One and another strꦏong female character who deserves more recognition.
Like the Imperial Officer, she's also somebody who was throw into the mix for the first Battlefront. While her baton weapon wasn't the best, her other abilities certainly made her a worthwhile character to play as. And we'd love to see her pitted against the other characters included in the game - and K♑rennic above all.
4 Dengar
Aꦡnother character to have appeared in the first Star Wars Battlefront game - and not the sequel - is Dengar.
He was only glimpsed briefly in the movies, making a short appearance in The Empire Strikes Back when Darth Vader looks at hiring a Bounty Hunter in order to secure the capture of Luke Skywalker. Dengar was powerful in the first Battlefront game and popular - which makes his absence in the sequel that bit more b𝓀affling.
3 Greedo
Greedo is another character who has become iconic among Star Wars f🥃ans - despite barely having any screentime.
He appears briefly as a child in The Phantom Menace and then pops up in A New Hope, where he attempts to capture Han Solo for Jabba the Hutt. He fails, with Han frying Jabba's h❀enchman in the Mos Eisley Cantina. But he was another in the first Battlefront game who is yet to make his way over the next instalment in the series.
2 🅘 ༒ Asajj Ventress
We've already had Clone W🔯ars season. But that doesn't mean that the team over at EA and Dice should just forget about putting characters from that era into Battlef♑ront II.
For the villains, it would be great to see Asajj Ventress. Certainly, the prospect of wiedling two red lightsabers in unison sounds exciting. She's a prominent charac꧋ter in The Clone Wars, too, and we believe fans would relish the chance to take to the battlefront as Count Dooku's old Sith apprentice.
1 Ah൲soka Tano
Of all the characters fans want to see in Battlefront II,♎ Ahsoka Tano is probably the most popular of the entire lot.
Ahsoka, like Asajj Ventress, is heavily involved in the Clone Wars and she's incredibly popular as a result. She's probably THE most-liked character in Star Wars history who hasn't appeared in any of the nine core saga movies or its two spin-offs, Rogue One and Solo. And, given Ahsoka is also at the center of things in Star ꦅ♒Wars: Rebels, it would make sense if she came to the game eventually.
