While EA and Dice have done a successful job of redeeming the Star Wars: Battlefront II video game, w🎃e can't help but feel the force remains a little out of balance - at least when it comes to hero and villain appearances.
The light side has nuꦦmerous looks your heroes can sport but, when it comes to the dark side, they come up considerably⛎ short.
So, with that in mind, we're now going to take a look at 1🎀0 villain appearances we'd like to see in the game.
10 🍌 Hooded Maul 🍰
Darth Maul's appearance generated much excitement prior to the release of The Phantom Menace back in 1999. One of the images that generated this was the Sith Lord with his 𝓰hood up, his red and bl𒆙ack face clearly visible under the silhouette.
Maul, of course, wasn't quite as involved in the blockbuster as many were hoping for. But he remains popular to this day and his hooded appearance would go down a storm with fans. Especially💮 as that's the outfit he wears when he engages Qui-Gon Jinn in lightsaber combat on Tatooine.
9 ꧋ Clone Warsও Maul
Everybody thought Maul had been killed at the end of The Phantom Menace, having been sliced in half and sent tumbling down a bottomless pit by Obi-Wan Kenobi. However, George Lucas admitted to making a mistake with the character and subsequently chose to bring him back for the animated TV series, The Clone Wars. Maul has roboℱtic legs, having used the dark side to cling to life in his bleakest hour.
Battlefront has already created Clone Wars skins for Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi - so it wouldꦺ make s🍬ense to do the same here.
8 Chanc🔯ellor Palpatine
Palpatine is the big bad of the entire Star Wars franchise - even making one last appearance in The Rise of Skywalker having been presumed dead following his defeat by Darth Vader at the end of Return of the Jedi. And one skin for s🧔uch an important character isn't enough.
To mix things up, it would be great to see a Chancellor Palpatine appearance, the same one he sported in Revenge of the Sith BEFORE his face was hoღrrifically disfigured. That may re🅰quire much work on EA and Dice's part but, despite that, we think it would be worth it.
7 ✱ Red Robes Pa🥂lpatine
Palpatine's single appearance so far is his black cloak, the same one he wears during Return of the Jedi and when we first see him in The Rise of Skywalker. And while we'd also love a Chancellor Palpatine look, we'd also like to see the villain sporting the same red robes he wears during Revenge of the Sith.
It would add some much-needed color and detail to the character - and make you look rather slick and important as well. We'd rather this than his Rise of Skywalker attire, which was a bizarre mix between both his Revenge of the Sith cloak and Return of the Jedi one.
6 💫 Red Lenses Darth Vader 𝓀
Over the years, Darth Vader's eye lenses have gone from the color red - which they were in the very first Star Wars movie A New Hope - to black. However, 2016's Rogue One decided to revert back to the origin𝓀al design with🌱 Vader's appearance far closer to the one he sported back in 1977.
It would be great to get the red lenses in🧜 the game so we can match the Vadar we l⛎oved back in the day. However, that's not the only Vader skin we want.
5 Da♛maged Vader
One of the most iconic Darth Vader looks, despite being in the TV series Star Wars Rebels rather than an actual blockbuster, is his damaged appearance. In the show, he battles former Jedi apprentice Ahsoka Tano and she's able to damage the Sith L✱ord by striking the part of his mask that covers his eye.
This means that, when Vader looks at her again, she's able to see the eye of her old master Anakin Skywalker. It's yellow, like all Sith eyes, and Ahsoka's old friend flatly refuses to let her go. Vader delivers a brilliant line of dialogue (then you will die) and it'd be great to see him rocking this look in Battlefront II.
4 ♚ Bat𝔍tle Damaged Phasma
Vader isn't the only villain we'd like to see looking a bit worse for wear. Despite the fact she has just a marginal role in both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, ꧂we certainly believe it would be worth EA and Dice creating another appearance for Captai🐎n Phasma.
In the latter, she fights Finn and he's able to, like what happened with Vꦯader, remove the piece of her helmet that covers her eye. Gwendoline Chrꦡistie's own eye is visible and it's a standout shot from the blockbuster before she then falls to her death. With Phasma deadly on the battlefield, especially in Co-op, she deserves more.
3 Ben Solo
Kylo Ren's skin tally has been taken to four now, with the villain getting his Rise of Skywalker look when the DLC for that movie dropped in January. But there's a🥂nother appearance that should be taken from the movie. 🍸We are, of course, talking about Ben Solo.
It'd be truly awesome to recreate the end of the final Skywa⛎lker saga installment by slaying enemies with Ben using Anakin Skywalker, Luke Skywalker, and Rey's blue lightsaber. While we admit it would be a little strange to see him s♓laying Resistance members without his crossguard lightsaber, we'd be willing to let that slide for the sake of a sublime experience.
2 Grievous Cape ไ
At the time of writing, there are currently three skins for General Grievous. There's his standard appearance from Revenge of the Sith, his slightly damaged look and then his battle-damaged, fiery appearance. But💞 we still feel there's room for one more when it comes to everybody's favorite Cyborg.
Dice and E🔜A have admitted that it would be tricky, but caped Grievous would be a fine addition to 💦his collection - see what we did there? Sure, there'd be no Magna Guards to make it truly worth the effort but many fans would be delighted if they saw it in the game.
1 Veteran Id🍌en
Iden Versio isn't exactly the most pop🐈ular Battlefront character. She has her uses, though, and can be particularly devastating in close-quarters combat.
We currently have her default appearance from the campaign but Dice haven't done anything 🐻with the appearance they gave her for the game's DLC. It's extremely low on the priority list - we'd rather have the other nine skins - but giving her another look would add some much-needed versatility and freedom with the Empire-turned-Rꦡesistance member.
