In the third episode of the Ahsoka Disney Plus series, Inquisitor Marrok finally spoke, and fans were quick to point out that he sounds like Sam Witwer, who has been credited under additওional voices.
Witwer has played a lot of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Star Wars characters, but fans believe that Marrok sounds like his performance as Garen Malek, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:AKA Starkiller, the protagonist of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Force Unleashed games. He gives a gravelly, dis🐠torted voice thanks to his medieval-styled helmet, which sounds uncannily similar to a scene from a non-canon Force Unleashed DLC in which Malek goes full-Sith and comes face-to-face with Luke Skywalker.
As reported by , this has led to speculation that Disney is finally making Starkiller canon. However, the series takes place five years after Return of the Jedi, so if this is Starkiller, the timeline will be completely different to the Force Unleashed games. They're set during the Original Trilogy, with Starkiller taking the role of Darth Vader's secret apprentice. By the time of Ahsoka, Vader is dead, and Marrok spent his time during the Empire's reign as an Inquisitor, not a Sith.
Witwer has played many roles in a variety of Star Wars properties, so his mere appearance isn't a confirmation that Starkiller is in Ahsoka. He's the voice of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Darth Maul, Hugh Sion in Resistance, a Rodian Prisoner in The Book of Boba Fett, a Shoretrooper in Andor, and Pal🥂patine across several games and TV shows - even in The Force Unleashed.
What's unique about Starkiller is that the character is based on Witwer's likeness, so it all comes down to who is under Marrok's helmet.
If Witwer himself is playing the character, rather than it being a dub as with Darth Maul in Solo: A Star Wars Story, there may be some credence to the theories. But as it stands, Marrok has only said two lines in Ahsoka, those being "As you wish" and "Nothing". We haven't peaked under the hood, yet.
If Marrok is Starkiller, we'll probably see some kind of redemption story. The 'canon' ending of The Force Unleashed is Starkiller rejecting Darth Vader and Palpatine, joining the fight against the Empire.
Ahsoka has five more episodes to go, so we'll find out within the next month whether these theories hold any weight. Starkiller might be making his way to canon after all, or Witwer could simply be playing another brooding villain with a standout lightsaber.
