This past week saw two of 2019's biggest and most anticipated releases in gaming the forms of EA's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Pokémon Sword & Shield. The two were both bound to be great sellers and reported sales figures from the UK prove their dominance in the🐼 market🀅 there.
According to , Pokémon Sword had been the highest-selling game for the week ending November 16th. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order came in just behind Sword, while Pokémon Shield ended up be💜ing the third best-🍷selling game for the week of November 16th.
According to , the three above mentioned titles beat out Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which had previously been the best-selling game in the UK. Meanwhile, FIFA 20 and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Luigi's Mansion 3 came in just behind Modern Warfare at fifth and sixth place, respectively.
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Death Stranding also made the list in eighth place, while Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continued to hold strong at ninth and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 came in as the tenth best-selling game of last w🤪eek.
In terms of other new titles that saw their presence in the list of the 40 best-selling games in the UK last week, Pokémon Sword & Shield: Dual Edition was the seventh highest-selling title. It contains both Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. Forza Horizon 4 was also new to the list at the 32nd best-selling game last week and Terminator Resistance saw its entry at 38th place.
It doesn't come as much of a surprise that Pokémon Sword & Shield dominated last week. While Modern Warfare's fire isn't dwindling by any measure, the Pokémon games are some of Nintendo's most successful, and the releases of Sword & Shield prove this. It is interesting that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order topped Pokémon Shield but not Pokémon Sword. It's possible that Pokémon Sword's exclusive Pokémon are more appealing than those in Pokémon Shield, though there is also a🐓 likelihood that "Sword" sounds cooler or more ag꧅gressive than "Shield."
We'll have to see if Pokémon and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order can keep up their traction in the coming weeks, with events like Black Friday and other holiday-related sales. Or perhaps they will be overtaken by the ever-dominant Modern Warfare. Of course, we won't know for sure until꧂ next week's reported figures.
