There have been so many stories told in Star Wars media about Jedi who survived Order 66 and lingered on until the A New Hope era that the idea has lost most of its luster. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be one of the stories set in the continuity of the new movies, so it at least isn't held back by the boundaries of the Expanded Universe, which was a problem for many pieces of old Star Wars media.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is due to be released during the 2019 holiday season, which is around the same time that Star Wars: Episode IX is set to be releasedꦿ in theaters around the world.
