After the groundbreaking success of both 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor, we're getting another single-player 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Star Wars game. Only this time, it's coming to us courtesy of Ubisoft. Developed by Massive Entertainment, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Star Wars: Outlaws is billed as the first open-world game in the series, and was 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:revealed to a whole lot of buzz at the Xbox Games Showcase last night.
Now, just a day later, the devs have shown off the kind of gameplay we can expect in Outlaws, and it's pretty unique from the other games in the series. Unlike the Soulsborne-esque Star Wars Jedi series, Outlaws will focus on third-person blaster fights, making the most of its open-world environments. It even lets you control that adorable little guy that follows you around, as he helps you find items and fight enemies.
Check out the latest footage below, featuring ten minutes of uninterrupted gameplay. Here, we follow Kay and Nix, as the duo sneak and f🔥ight their way away from enemy territory.
Based on what we've seen, it's safe to say that Kay is a scrapper - a scoundrel that would even make Han Solo proud. Instead of deploying clever takedowns in stealth, she clobbers the baddies right in the face. Then, she sends Nix out to play with the machinery, giving the duo cover to get past the guards.
While we can't say for sure, it looks like Kay being spotted by the enemies wasn't scripted. Therefore, a stealthy player could make it out of this area without a single blaster shot being fired. But if that's not your thing, it definitely seems that you can go in guns blazing, changing the settings on your blaster depending on the enemy type.
This extended look at the gameplay comes from tonight's Ubisoft Forward event, following on from yesterday's Xbox Games Showcase. As seen in the trailer above, Star Wars: Outlaws is already incredibly far ahead in development, despite only being revealed yesterday, suggesting that it's very much on track for its planned 2024 release.
We don't have a specific release date for Star Wars: Outlaws just yet, but it's planned for some time in 2024. Whether that's early or late 2024 remains to be seen. It will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, seemingly skipping the Nintendo Switch and last-gen altogether. This isn't particularly surprising if the final game resembled what we've seen today, anyway. Of course, things can change during development, and there must be a ways to go if we can't narrow the release window down any further than 2024. We should get more updates on the game as the approach the new year.
