EA Motive has dropped for 🐟Star Wars: Squadrons, bringing with it two new ships, the introduction of custom matches, bug fixe🎃s, and a note to the players and fans by Creative Director, Ian Frazier.

To start off, the two new ships are the B-Wing and the TIE Defenderও. The A/SF-01 B-Wing has been added to the New Republic arsenal as 🎃a bomber class ship armed with components like a gyro-cockpit and swiveling wings. It’s based on the prototyped Blade Wing by Mon Calamari engineer Quarrie, and was further cali🌠brated by General Hera Syndulla.

The Imperial hangar has been stocked with the TIE/d, also known as the TIE Defender. This fighter class ship has been conceptuaꦺlised by none other than the infamous Grand Admiral Thrawn with the help of Sienar Fleet Systems. The🌳 TIE Defender also comes with enhanced shields, making it a great tank-class ship.

The patch notes elaborated that while these ships have unique functionalities and features, the developers ensured that there would be no balancing issues. “These functions and a couple unique components will help them di♒fferentiate themselves from the other starfighters in their classes and factions, but we’ve also made sure they aren’t outright better by default. There’s still going to be good reasons to pick a Y-wing over a B-wing or a TIE fighter over a TIE defender and vice versa. It’ll depend on your playstyle and what the situation calls for,” said the patch notes.

Secondly, update 4.0 also brings with it a highly requested matchmaking feature, Custom Matches. This mode will allow one to five players on each side to battle it out on any of the seven maps in either Dogfight or Fleet Battles mode. Custom Matches will also allow you to customise certain in-game features like hull/shield/damage modifiers, changing capital ship health, restricting certain st🐼arfighters as per your liking.

And lastly, the ඣpatch notes included a letter of thanks by Creative Director, Ian Frazier. Here’s a short snippet🍒:
