Stardew Valley developer, Eric Barone, a.k.a. ConcernedApe, is busy creating his next game, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Haunted Chocolatier. Being a solo dev, it wouldn't be too far-fetched to think that Barone would have his hands too full to be able to focus on two games at once. While he hasn't specifically come out and said that Stardew Valley will no longer receive updates, Barone has in the past admitted that it will be tougher to do so now.
“I’m not even saying if there’s going to be another Stardew Valley update, I don’t know at this point,” he said in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:an interview last year. “right now, I am focused on my next game.” However, as Haunted Chocolatier comes together and Barone finds his groove, he might be able to divide his time between his previous game and the upcoming one. A recent intervie💟w with has indicated that Barone has not completely ruled out future updates for the popular life sim.
"I have no plans either way," he said when asked if Stardew Valley will receive updates after Haunted Chocolatier's dev cycle is finished. "I don’t want to make any promises for more updates, and I also don’t want to say definitively that it’s finished. I think the game is in a very good place as it is, so I don’t think it’s necessary to add more to it. But at the same time, there’s always room for improvement."
It might seem like a non-answer at face value, but ConcernedApe has been known to sprinkle additional feature꧒s into the game at random intervals. In fact, he admitted so in the same interview. "My favorite part of game development is after all the core elements are finished, and I get to just add fun things on top of it," he said. "The little surprises for players to discover. But that’s kind of the “spice” you sprinkle on at the very end. I’m not really there yet, still working on the core elements. But I&rsquo🦋;m looking forward to it and thinking of ideas all the time."
So don't be surprised if Stardew Valley suddenly gets an update in a year or so from now.
