Summary

  • Stardew Valley updates and DLC will remain free for the foreseeable future.
  • Developer ConcernedApe just promised this now, asking fans to hold him to this pledge.

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Stardew Valley developer ConcernedApe has pledged that updates and DLC will remain free, not paywalled. In fact, he tells fans to screenshot his promise and use it aga💎inst him if he ever goes back on his word, adamant that ꧑he can keep rolling out free updates for the game.

This comes as ConcernedApe, real name Eric Barone, says that the console port of upd♉ate 1.6 for Stardew Valley is still in the works, although he is aware that it's taking longer than expected. On the plus side, these expansions aren't going to be put behind a price tag anytime soon, and it seems like fans are willing to wait for free updates.

Stardew Valley Updates And DLC Will Always Be Free

Promises don't get much stronger than this, so it's safe to say that Barone is serious about this pledge to keep supporting Stardew Valley for free. It's also safe to assume then that sales of the game are still more than enough to support development in this way, and keep the now eight-year-old game alive to this day.

Speaking of, another PC update is also in the works, alongside the console port of the last update. So, work on Stardew Valley certainly isn't slowing down, even as Barone works on his next game, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Haunted Chocolatier.

Regarding Haunted Chocolatier, Barone has previously said that he doesn't feel pressured to rush it out anytime soon. We don't have a release date, and given this design philosophy, we probably shouldn't expect one until Barone is confident that the game is ready to go. In the meantime, we'll have Stardew Valley updates to keep us busy, anyway.
