After successfully becoming fully-funded on Kickstarter last year, Stardew Valley-inspired open-world pirate RPG, Seablip, has finally been with a planned r🍷🐬elease date of February 2022.

Developed by sole-de⛄veloper Jardar Solli, Seablip will put players at the helm of a small ship inherited from their parents. It will then be up to players to restore the island of Seablip to its former glory by sailing the high seas in search of treasure and adventure while uncovဣering the mystery of the in-game world.

In addition to the launch of the game’s Steam page, players are also encouraged to sign-u𝕴p for the game’s Alpha Playtest which is planned to take place February 19-21, 2021. The playtest is a free version for those who sign-up, but players will be randomly selected if interest is high. The alpha will show off just a tiny part of Seablip free of any spoilers - mostly focusing on the game’s sea-based battles. In fact, you’ll start o♎n a completely different island than where you’ll start in the full game and will be limited to a smaller map built specifically for the playtest. That said, according to Solli, there may be some subtle clues and secrets to uncover about the world of Seablip.

A launch date of February 2022 might seem like a long time to start hyping up a game, but Seablip has continued to be thoughtfu𒁃lly developed by its sole-de𒆙veloper and is already supported by a bustling and dedicated player community on the game’s Discord server.

Work also continues on Seablips audio design and soundtrack, which is composed by Christian Balvig. TheGamer received the opportunity to check out some unreleased tracks from certain areas of the game, and it’s abundantly clear just how much work is going into building out💃 the whimsical sea-world of Seablip. The tracks fit perfectly for the settings in which they play, adding an additional layer of immersiveness to the already incredible looking game.

Stay tuned to TheGamer as we’ll be bringing you exclusive looks of Seablip as it continues to sail towards its full📖 release.
