With all the creatures you'll find across the star system, there's at least one you'd like to nurture and raise for products that can help you with crafting. You can do so with the Animal Husbandry Facility and a little bit of work.
Building the facility takes a bit of effort, as does hooking up the necessary requirements to power the facility, but the reward is passive creatures that produce byproducts you can use. It's a great way to add a little life to your outpost and see more alien life regularly.
How To Unlock Animal Husbandry
Raising animals in Starfield will provide you with resources like Toxin and Sealant. In order to build an Animal Husbandry Facility 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:at your outpost, you'll first need to have completed the following.
Unlock The Zoology Skill
The first step is unlocking the Zoology Skill under the Science tab. Doing so will allow you to harvest from creatures without harming them, learn more about them from the scanner, and produce animal resources at outposts.
You'll also want to put skill points into Outpost Engineering and Botany (optional) to ensure success.
You don't need to scan every creature to 100 percent on a planet before setting up the facility.
As long as at least one specꦜies w💦ith outpost production allowed is fully scanned, the facility will work.
Not every creature can be used at the outpost, however. Only animals that have been fully scanned and state that outpost production is allowed in the scanner are able to be raised.
Find A Suitable Habitat
The next step is finding a suitable habitat for the facility. It will need to be in the same biome as the creature you want to raise.
How To Set Up The Animal Husbandry Facility
To set up your Animal Husbandry Facility, open the build menu and select the Animal Husbandry Facility f𒉰rom th💦e Builders tab. It will cost:
- Adaptive Frame (5)
- Reactive Gauge (3)
- Sealant (3)
- Aluminum (8)
You'll also need three power to get it up and running. You'll want to connect Water Extractors and Power Sources using modify mode.
You'll also want to connect storage containers to help collect and store the products.
You'll know you've done this right when passive creatures appear outside the Animal Husbandry Facility. Once you see them, you can access the console outside the facility to check what can be produced.
Here you can swap between products and see what needs have to be 🎐met before you can harvest the byproducts.
If the creatures die, they will continually res🥃pawn. They are also permanently passive towards you and will not attack.
How To Care For Fauna
To get the creatures to produce the desired resources, you'll need to care for them. This includes three things: Power, Fiber, and Water. You'll have to supply them yourself and connect them to the facility to power it.
Having a Greenhouse available and produc𒀰ing Fiber will speed up the process and create a self-sustaining environꦕment.
You'll want to make sure that your Water Extractors are connected to the Animal Husbandry Facility (or that any Liquid Storage Containers are). Make sure that the connected Storage Container has Fiber as well so that the creatures can produce.
You can come back sporadically to collect the resources yourself, or you can connect the Animal Husbandry Facility to a Transfer Container to store more products and have them easily accessible from your ship's cargo.

Keep in mind you can only have eight outposts at a time, so choose your planets carefully to ensureꦯ you have all the resources you need.
