You can start playing the game once you've made a unique character, but sometimes you might want to change their appearance in the middle of a playthrough.
Having to start a new playthrough just to change how your character looks is obviously not feasible in most scenarios. Thankfully, the game allows you to work on your character's body features at any point as long as you find the correct place and have a few Credits in your pocket.
How To Customize Your Character Mid-Game
There are a couple of ways to customize your character depending on what you want to change. For example, if you want to change your character's body type or facial features, you'll have to find a shop called Enhance. These shops can be found 🉐in almost every major city and you can identify them easily because of their unique banner.
For beginner players, Enhance shops can be found in the Commercial District of Jemison and beside the Volii Hotel in Neon. Enter the shop and talk to the NPC near the main counter, and they'll offer you a touch-up for 500 Credits. Select the option and you'll directly be taken to the customization screen.
Keep in mind that 500 Credits will be deducted as soon as you select the option.
You won't get your money back even if you decide to cancel the customization.
Once you're done changing everything you want in the customization screen, you can click on the Finish option at the bottom right of your screen. On the next screen, the game will ask you to add your name if you want to change it, but you can simply press the button shown beside Cancel if you don't want to do that.
After you press that button, you'll see a few more options that'll allow you to save your changes. On the other hand, if you want to change your character's outfit, you can find the current outfits you have in the Apparel section of your inventory or Cargo.
If you don't have any outfits you like, you can always head over to various vendors on different planets and browse their stock for new outfits. Sometimes, you can also get new outfits through mai🎃n quest or Faction missions.
