Howard confirmed this in an interview with YouTuber MrMattyPlays, shedding some more light on Bethesda's ongoing projects. Here, he touches on Starfield's post-launch development and makes it clear that the studio won't be ditching its new IP anytime soon.

Howard admitted that more DLC is in the works when asked whether Bethesda will release a new expansion ev🐬ery year.
"I would say we want to, more or less, yeah," says Howard. "How long that can continue? Hopefully a very long time. We're planning for the one after this so there will be another one."
He continues, explaining the mindset that goes into planning a Starfield expansion. "I don't know that our goal is to answer every question. We sort of look at it and say, 'Hey, what's a good angle? What do we want to add to the game as far as an experience or a tone?'"

He also explained that Shattered Space has been in proper development since September last year, when Starfield launched.
