Chat with the head technician - he's usually the fellow right near the landing pad at major settlements - and ask to see the ships on offer.

From here, press the button to tab over to your ships, and the stolen craft will need to be registered for a sizable fee. Of course, on the other hand, if the ship you wish to sell is rightfully yours - reclaimed peacefully, or given as a quest reward - you can sell for full profit. It's already yours.

Don't ignore the still-significant sum you can bank, if the ship is good enough for decent coin. A powerful ship might cost around 10,000 credits to sign in your name, which is a fair bit to be sure, but flip it for 20,000 for a nice 10k profit.

Consider a quick save before registering the ship in your name, in case you end up deciding the split difference for profit doesn't justify the loss of the ship!
