The newest expansion does offer new players a vast amount of content for a reasonable price, but you may end up spending more than you intended to get the fullest experience. Below, we go into what new players can expect with Greymoor, as well as what they may be missing.

Four Expansions In One

As with many MMORPGs years into their life, The Elder Scrolls Online is rife with expansion packs and DLC. There's four expansions with Greymoor included, 12 DLC, and an in-game store where players can convert real money into "crowns" (the store's currency) to purchase items. Alternatively, players can activate a monthly subscription to TESO and ea🌼rn crowns over time, along with a handful of o💎ther perks.

For long-time players, much of that would have been purchased individually, or in a bundle, as with the However, new players can purchase Greymoor for the price of a single AAA game and get the base game with all the previous expansions ♏as well.

DLC Packs Not Included

For new players, getting the base game plus four expansion packs for the price of one can be a great deal. However, Greymoor doesn't include The Elder Scrolls Online's 12 DLC packs, which unlock new activities, storylines, and skill and crᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚafting trees.

This means that if you want to truly play as an assassin for the Dark Brotherhood, for example, you'll need to buy the Dark Brotherhood DLC in addition to Greymoor. Alternatively, you could activate a monthly subscription to TESO, which unlocks all of the DLC plus many other perks for as long as yꦯour subscription is active.

Obtaining DLC Without a Subscription

While TESO does offer a subscription service, it's not required to play the game or obtain access to additional content. Players who don't want to commit to a long-term subscription can choose a la carte what DLC they wantꦜ to add to their game experience. Each DLC pack becomes linked to the account they were purchased on, so players will have access to each DLC they bought until the servers shut down.

However, it should be noted that buying each DLC individually can rack up 🙈a total grea𓆏ter than or equal to the game itself.

Advice For New Players

If you've never played The Elder Scrolls Online and are considering getting into it, now is the best time to do so. The Greymoor DLC is build around n👍ew players, so you won't feel too out of place among the veterans who have been playing since 2014. Plus, it offers three♛ other full-length expansions for the price of a single AAA game.

However, if you want to get the full TESO experi🥃ence, you either need to activate a monthly subscription or prepare to buy all 12 DLC packs. This can become very costly very quickly, as some DLC packs are about half the price of the full game. Once the DLC is purchased, though, it's yours forever.

Otherwise, Greymoor and all the expansions it includes will provide you with ample content and time to decide whether you want the full TESO experience or not. As a new player, now is a better time than ever to get into TESO.
