There have been rumblings Valve might be working on an updated 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Steam Deck and turns out there was something to those rumblings. Leaked by Valve 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:and then confirmed ten minutes later, the Steam Deck OLED is real, and it is coming very, very soon. Launching on November 16, 2023, the OLED version of the Deck boasts more than just a higher quality screen, and you'll be able to order your own through the links below.

Although the screen isn't the only upgrade the updated Steam Deck has received, it's the best place to start since OLED is right there in the name. Boasting a 1280 x 800 HDR OLED display, much like the OLED version of the Switch, a better screen would have been enough to sell the new Deck. There's more though, quite a lot more. On top of an OLED screen, the new Steam Deck also runs faster, and perhaps even better than the improved screen, it has a much longer battery life.

The 512GB model is the smaller option of 𓂃the two OLED Decks available. Perfect for anyone who doesn't have a tendency to trawl Steam, downloading games they swear they'll get to later.

The limited battery life of the original Steam Deck has been one of the biggest complaints about the console since its launch. Hard to combat when it's effectively a PC that fits in the palm of your hand. Valve claims the OLED Steam Deck will have a battery life of up to 12 hours, although that will naturally depend on what you're doing with the console and how much power the games you're playing pull from it. The inclusion of Wi-Fi 6E enables to OLED model to run faster than the base Deck.

If you are the kind of person who picks up everything they like the look of on Steam as they go, then you may well want to go for the 1TB model. Also available in a limited editio꧟n🔯 colorway model in the US and Canada.

There are two options above if you're interested in picking up a Steam Deck OLED. The 512GB model, which costs $549, and a 1TB Deck, the one with the most memory yet, for an additional $100 at $649. A lot of money, but again, not only is this just a PC you can use on the go that (sort of) fits in your pocket we're talking about, it's now that with an improved screen, longer battery life, and faster downloads.

There's a limited edition colorway version of the 1TB Steam Deck OLED also available, but only for people in the US and Canada.

Valve also noted that this isn't the Steam Deck successor, effectively confirming that the console will be getting a sequel in the process. The studio confirmed that whatever's coming next from them on the console front is still a few years away. Just the Steam Deck OLED for now, and shipping of the console will begin on November 16. Demand for the OLED model probably won't be quite as high as it was for the original Steam Deck, but it seems likely the updated console will be hard to come by out the gate, especially this close to the holidays.
