I even tried to count the total number of downloads on all these mods, but I couldn't get past the first page. According to GamesRadar+, the top 30 of them had a combined 351,000 downloads at the time. Even at its peak, Nier Automata received 🌞nowhere near these numbers on Nexus Mods.

Maybe Yoshida wasn't privy to this information when he said that the game's popularity is due to its combat. While the combat is actually pretty good, these number𓆉s don't lie. The moddin✤g community has surely played a major part in Stellar Blade doing so well on PC.
