So we’ve got a bit of an update to the ground-breaking news of CJ and Flick, two new characters introduced in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Animal Crossing: New Horizons and what were believed to be the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:first homosexual characters๊ to ever 🌺be introduced in an official Nintendo product.
As a bit of a recap, there’s a lot of evidence in New Horizons that will lead a reasonable human being to assume that CJ and Flick are ✃gay lovers. First, CJ refers to Flick as his “partner,” a term generally reserved for lawyers, doctors, and same-sex couples. Since neither CJ nor Flick have a medical degree or have passed the bar, tha🐎t leaves us with the last possibility of them being gay.
Second of all, they live with each other and have known each other since they were kids. Spoiler alert in case you don’t already know, but if two male friends grow up together as besties and then move in together as adults and still do🐼n’t date women, they’re probably gay.
Now we arrive at our update courtesy of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Official Companion Guide, which jus🍸t launched in Europe as of last week (we should see it arrive here in North America in May). In t𒐪he English version, there’s a “Did You Know?” section that seeks to clarify rumors surrounding CJ and Flick’s relationship status.
"Flick and CJ are roommates and business partners,” reads the guide. “As an artist, he helps CJ build his streaming audience by providing stellar art to dedicated anglers. However, Flick's true artistic m🅰use is the world of entomology."
So in this case, the term “partner🌜s” is actually referring to a business partnership. However, CJ and Flick still live together and are clearly very close.
Sorry Nintendo, we’re still calling bull on this one. Just because you’re trying to throw Flick and CJ back into the closet doesn’t mean that we’re going to buy it. Plus, there’s already WAY too muc꧑h fantastic fan art of these two cuties, and nothing is ever going to change thꦑat.
