With the seasons changing – expectedly so – in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, there are plenty of gameplay changes you’ll need to make as the weather conditions shift. Your livestock enjoy spending sunny days out in the pasture, and you won’t ha♓ve to water your crops on the days when it 🌠rains, but snow seems to benefit nobody but your Winter crops.
In our guide, we explain every weather co🦂ndition and what it means in A Wonderful Life, including some information about during which seasons you’re most likely to experience every weather condition in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.
Weather Conditions In A Wonderful Life, Explained
With the game having "seasons" right in the name, it should come as no surprise that seasons and weather play a large role in your gameplay.
Different weather conditions mean different things, meaning your farmer has a dynamic sense of days that are easier and days that are harder. Additionally, certain weather is more common in certain seasons.
- Spring most commonly has sunny days, but it also has the highest chance of rain of the four seasons.
- Summer will almost always be sunny, with a slim-but-non-zero chance of occasional rain.
- Autumn is quite similar to Summer, but with a slightly higher chance of rain, which may turn to snow at the very end of the season.
- Winter is when you'll see the most snow and the lowest chance of sunny days.
New in the 2023 remake, though, is gradually-changing seasons. Like in real life, seasons may get a bit mixed as they begin to change, meaning you might see snow at the end of Autumn, or a tapering off of the rain toward the end of Spring.
Always Check The Weather On TV
While you'll always have the current weather shown in an icon by the clock in the top-right corner of the screen, you can check the TV for a six-hour forecast.
The weather forecasters will tell you which condition is most likely to be happening for the next six-hour block of time, but, like real life, they're not always correct in their predictions.
That said, they're a great way to anticipate the weather with their mostly-correct forecasts, helping you plan out your day according to the weather, as different conditions ꦍmean different amounts of wor🐻k.
If it's cloudy, the weather channel will typically predict which way the clouds will shift if they're going to, whether towards sun or toward rain.
Any day when you've got your work cut out for you in watering crops can be eased by the arrival of rain, which is great, because using tools may drain more stamina in poor weather.
Finally, animals become unhappy in poor weather, and unhappy animals give lesser-quality products. It's best to keep animals inside during bad weather to prevent this.
