When you’re feeling keen on raising livestock in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, Fodder is a key component that you won’t get too far without. Serving as the food for your Barn-based livestock, Fodder is the hay your animals eat that keep them nourished (and producing their usual arra🐓y of products).
Every kind of animal requires a different amount of food each day, and you’ll do well to keep everyone’s troughs f🦩ull. Starved animals are unhappy, and unhappy animals 🦩give subpar products. Avoid this fate by keeping a good amount of Fodder in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.
Where To Find Fodder
When you first begin playing Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, Takakura introduces you to your first cow, a female Normal Cow who lives in your Barn.
After you name it and are introduced to the concept of milking your Cows, you're able to begin 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:taking care of your livestock as normal - and that includes feeding them.
Every animal you get will need a feeding trough in the Barn, with each animal requiring a different number of feedings per day based on their species:
- All kinds of Cow require two portions of food each day.
- Meanwhile, Sheep and any of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:your Goats will only need one.
If left inside, livestock consume their whole feeding trough in one day, so be sure to check the Ba🅺rn frequently to see whose trough needs a top-up.
Regardless, this is where Fodder comes in, a hay-like substance that you can either buy or grow at home to feed to your animals.
Grow Fodder In The Pasture With Fertilizer
Your first option for getting Fodder in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is to grow it at home by spreading Fertilizer in the pasture behind the Barn.
You can get Fertilizer from Vesta, or make it yourself with the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fertilizer Maker upgrade.
Once you have Fertilizer, head out into the pasture and spread Fertilizer in the pasture just like seeds, and watch as it grows into grass for your animals to eat while they're outside grazing.
That said, you can also cut down the planted grass with your Scythe if you would rather harvest the grass into Fodder.
When you do this, the Fodder automatically gets loaded into a chute in the barn, which is located on the right side of the barn, by the door to the pasture.
Once you've cut down some grass, interact with the chute in the Barn to take out your Fodder, which you can then place in the feeding troughs as nor✃mal.
Buy Fodder From The Ledger
If you're mostly focused on other aspects of your farm, it may be easiest to simply buy your Fodder from the city, courtesy of ordering it from the Ledger.
It costs 20g per piece to buy Fodder in the Ledger. Choose "Can Order" and select your Fodder. Like all goods purchased in this way, you'll receive it in the Deposit Box the following day.
You can then store it in the chute in the barn if you'd like, keep it in the storage shed ou🐼tside, or have some on you in your inventory for whenever the 🐻livestock need feeding.
