Updated February 3, 2022, by Jerrad Wyche: When the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Story of Seasons series was announced as a spiritual successor to Harvest Moon, fans across the globe lost their minds at the possibilities. Who would have known they would have received a spiritual remake of Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town by way of Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town. It took everything the original classic did and modernized the designs of its beloved characters. Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town was the sequel that was released in March 2021 and fans can't wait to see what's next from the series.
14 Kappa
Kappa is a lake-dwelling green creature who is known for playing hard to get. Originally he looked unlike any othe♛r creature and sported a monk-like haircut. In Story of Seasons, his appearance is now that of a duck who is role-playing as a tortured artist. He now has long green hair thꦰat falls over his face and has traded in his tribal attire for a more nomadic drifter appearance.
Winner: Tie. This depends on what you're looking for out of Kappa. His private and loner personality traits are still prevalent, but he's much more civilized and cultured now. The slight edge has to go to the new design as it humanizes him in a way where a romantic relationship with a being living in a lake is much more understandable.
13 Elly/Elli
Elly's redesign keeps her bobbed brunette hair and frilly apron. However, it introduces new details like a tiered hem and puff sleeves to update her outfit. Her dress is now one shade of dark blue and features a row of buttons down the front of the bodice. Her bowtie is more discreet, and her apron is embroidered on the pockets and along the hem. Elly completes her outfit with a pair of delicate white gloves that must serve some purpose related to nursing.
Winner: Story Of Seasons. Elly now looks like a proper nurse, instead of a baker. Her new design gives off healing vibes like she's the Pokemon Chancey personified.
12 Doctor
Like Elly, Doctor's appearance is relatively unchanged from his previous appearance in Mineral Town. The only major difference is the lack of a head mirror and a stethoscope, which he was never seen without in the GBA original. Otherwise, he still wears his lab coat and a serious expression conveying the weight of his responsibilities as the town's only physician. He looks like your pre-med friend just trying his best.
Winner: Story Of Seasons. The head mirror was unsightly, not to mention an outdated part of the physician's outfit.
11 Cliff
Cliff has been a vagrant in every appearance 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:since his introduction in Harvest Moon 64. Back then, he had a pet hawk named Cain and a ponytail with streaks of blond hair that he inherited from his grandmother. In Story Of Seasons, Cliff is sans ponytail and sports a more colorful appearance than before. Instead of the fur-lined vest, he wears a tunic over a maroon undershirt and black pants. The tunic and undershirt also feature a Grecian design called a , which hasn't been seen before on his character.
Winner: Harvest Moon. Cliff, without a ponytail? Preposterous!
10 Bon Vivant/The Gourmet ♛
The Gourmet in Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town was a snooty food critic who only appeared once a year and resembled the mayor from A Nightmare Before Christmas. His original design was cartoonish and interesting but didn't invite the idea of romantic pursuit. In Story of Seasons not only did his look change, but he was now known as Bon Vivant. The rotund foodie traded out his top hat and vest for a more regal appearance.
Winner: Story of Seasons. Though his original appearance and personality made him stand out, it's hard to deny how unappealing he was as an optional marriage candidate. His new look and vibe may turn some players off, but at the end of the day, his royal steampunk-inspired look is much more captivating.
9 Ran/Ann
In Harvest Moon: Friends Of Mineral Town, Ann wore denim overalls over a yellow T-shirt and her hair in a braided ponytail. Her Story Of Seasons redesign keeps her warm color scheme but switches out the overalls for ca🧸pris and T-shirt for a tent dress. She rounds out her new outfit with strappy sandals and a white ribbon fastening her hair into a standard high ponytail. Ran has also taken the pl𝓀unge into full bangs.
Winner: Story Of Seasons. O꧃ur girl finally looks more at home at the inn than the G🌊reen Ranch.
8 Rick
Rick has glowed up since his days antagonizing Kai in Harvest Moon: Friends Of Mineral Town. Or rather, he still tries to fight Kai but looks much less nerdy doing so. Whether the game wanted to make him worthy of Karen or endear the player to his more neurotic qualities. One thing's for sure; in taking over the family business for his absent father and ill mother, he is definitely one of the most responsible bachelors in the game, second only to the Doctor.
Winner: Tie. Rick has a new look but the same overbearing personality.
7 Karen
Rick's best friend has had a complete makeover, and not for the better according to many fans. Karen cut her hair into a fringe hairstyle with a blonde ombre fading into her natural brunette hair, which ends in a fishtail a la Tifa Lockhart in Final Fantasy 7. Not only have we seen this haircut in our seventh-grade yearbooks, but it's also missing the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:trademark blonde antenna bangs of Karen's original design. At least her outfit is on point; those bell sleeves are so 2020.
Winner: Harvest Moon. This redesign took things a step too far. Fans loved those bangs; they were her connection to her grandmother Eve, a bachelorette in the original Harvest Moon game for the Super Nintendo.
6 Gray
Story Of Seasons Gray goes hatless, among other changes. Gray now has blonde hair to distinguish him from redheads Dudley and Ran, also known as Doug and Ann, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:who were his family in Harvest Moon 64. Gone is the utility jumpsuit, ♉and in its place is a button-down shirt and pants in primary🌟 colors to complement his blonde hair. He leaves the shirt open to reveal the decal on the garment underneath: UMA.
Winner: Harvest Moon. His new outfit screams moody teenager, not apprentice blacksmith. ꦐBesides, UMA belongs on the hat.
5 ♐ Marie/Mary ཧ
Marie's schoolgirl outfit has been updated, and it's amazing what side pleats and military-inspired buttons can do. The librarian's loose plait has become two low pigtails, and her dark necktie is now a cheerful yellow. The gathered sleeves, sailor stripes, and overall nautical theme are more eye-catching than the standard schoolgirl outfit she wore in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the GBA original. Instead of dark rectangular glasses, she wears light oval frames, a🐽nd the addition of black stocওkings is très chic.
Winner: Story of Seasons. Marie's new glasses and hair are working for her.
