Almost halfway through the game, you will com𝐆e across Cray Claw, an enemy that is fast and so furious that it will consistently drive its claws, legs, and tails towards you. If you want to know how to defeat it, here is our guide:
Where Is Cray Claw Located?
Cray Claw can be found in the final room of Ruins of Machina during the main mission: To Remember.
Pre-Battle Strategy
Just before the Cray Claw battle, there is a bunch of cubes like with every other boss. Recover HP and MP and switch to the best equipment you own. For extra damage, make sure your weapons are imbued with water attributes, as Kraken is extremely weak to this. It's also a good idea to bring Wateraga spells into this battle to inflict a gr🙈eat deal of damage.
Cray Claw uses aggressive close-range attacks to completely reduce your HP bar, so make sure you have got a🧜n HP recovery plan prepared:

Best Team Composition
Make sure you bring a black and red mage with you to deal water damage on Cray Claw. This guy is so fast that its hard-hitting close-range attacks make are ha🌃rd to avo𝔉id. If you and your party can stay at long range you will be fine.
Your safest bet is to get through this battle with the support of Sophia as a Black Mage and Neon as a Red Mage. They will be taking care of doing all the spell damage while you inflict damage close-range and heal your party.

It is highly recommended to target the claws, legs, and tail bits of Cray Claw instead of the m🎀ain body as a whole. After taking enough damage in one bit, it will get scared, which allows you to deal even more damage.
Avoid fighting it head-on, too. Instead, go for long-ranged attacks of close-range attacks to its sides. Most of its attacks deal damage to targets that are right in front of it, so as long as you dodge your way to its side, you will be fine. This may sound like an easy task, but this mecha-scorpion seems to be hyper-aware of what you are doing and will swipe to the side from which you are attacking. Don't lower your guard and parry/dodge as much as possible.

After its HP is reduced to less than half, its attack power will increase even more. There are no potentially dangerous additions, it just becomes faster and more aggressive. Oh, and it can cloak.
The goal is to destroy its gravitation device, which will make the hard-to-avoid attack Giga-Graviton disappear. Try to get close to him and aim towards this spot, but be extra careful 🍨in case it decides to activate Giga-Graviton while you are at it. If it goes invisible, just hit it and the effect will dissipate.
