Stranger Things

Most of the time they are just existing cards with new, exclusive art. This time, things are a bit different, as headlining the superdrop is the crossover that includes mechanically original cards and a clue token thrown in🌳 for good measure. Wizards have already confirmed these cards will get non-Stranger Things versions printed in set boosters next year, though, making it less of a concern than the previous Walking Dead Secret Lair, which has yet to be reprinted in any capacity.

Costing £39.99/$39.99 for a non-foil and £49.99/$49.99 for foil, the Stranger𓂃 Things Secret Lair includes🅺 nine cards:

  • Chief Jim Hopper
  • Dustin, Gadget Genius
  • Eleven, the Mage
  • Lucas, the Sharpshooter
  • Max, the Daredevil
  • Mike, the Dungeon Master
  • Mind Flayer, the Shadow
  • Will the Wise
  • A clue token
Monster Movie Marathon

The second collection is , with art by Martin Ansin that recreates the feel of old horror B-movie posters. Though the cards chosen all play up to the horror theme in some way, it still manages to include two Commander staples, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Blasphemous Act and Beast Within.

Monster Movie Marath𝓰on costs £29.99/$29.99, or £39.99/$39.99 for the foil edition, and includes four cards:

  • Blasphemous Act
  • Beast Within
  • Grafdigger's Cage
  • Dismember
Showcase Midnight Hunt

follows the tradition of a Secret Lair expanding on the alternate art style introduced in a recent set by putting the ten original Innistrad utility lands (colourless lands that have special abilities) into the black and white Eternal Night style first seen in Innistrad:𝓡 Midnight Hunt. Utility lands are always useful to have, and this one has a lot of different contributing artists to make them more special: Alayna💟 Danner, Nico Delort, Rio Krisma, Dan Mumford, Jessica Seamans, Robbie Trevino, N.C.Winters, DZO, Daria Khlebnikova, and Kerby Rosanes.

Showcase: Midnight Hunt will cost £29.99/$29.99 for a non-foil edition, and £39.99/$39.99 for the foil, and incl꧒udes ten cards:

  • Moorland Haunt
  • Vault of the Archangel
  • Nephalia Drownyard
  • Desolate Lighthouse
  • Stensia Bloodhall
  • Grim Blackwoods
  • Kessig Wolf Run
  • Slayer's Stronghold
  • Gavony Township
  • Alchemist's Refuge
Read the Fine Print

The next is , an odd name for a series of cards all themed around Magic's primary 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:black-centred Planeswalker, Liliana Vess. There is a story behind this drop, though: when Liliana Vess met the dragon Planeswalker Nicol Bolas, she was jealous of how he had managed to maintain some of his power after the Mending, an event that severely weakened the Planeswalkers of the Multiverse. She then made a deal with him and four demons to recover her power and youth in exchange for her loyalty – this drop represents the contract she made, and the demons who she made it with, before her ultimate rebellion in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:War of the Spark.

This is one of two drops in this collection to come in an Etched Foil printing, with the card frame having a different foiling pattern to normal. The non-🅘foil costs £29.99/$29.99, while the foil and etched foil each cost £39.99/$39.99, and it includes five cards:

Thrilling Tales of the Undead

has a similar vibe to the Monster Movie Marathon, except instead of movies it features Fay Dalton's recreations of pulpy horror novel covers instead. Three cards that combine the shlocky horror with pinup-like poses, it's another drop that mostly focuses on Liliana Vess. Unlike Read the Fine Print, though, this one actually includes a Liliana card, with Liliana, Death's Majesty from Amonkhet.

The regular Thrilling Tales of the Undead costs £29.99/$29.99, while the foil🌞 is £39.99/$39.99, and comes with three cards:

  • Liliana, Death's Majesty
  • Gravecrawler
  • Rise of the Dark Realms
Monster Anatomy 101

One of the weirdest and most interesting drops in this collection is . Timba Smits' art pulls back the skin of some well-known Magic creatures and gives a look at their insides, Grey's Anatomy-style. It has a good mix of creatures, from the Goblin lord Goblin Trashmaster to the popular commander Gishath, Sun's Avatar.

This drop skips the foil version, instead having a regular foil at £29.99/$29.99, and an🎉 etched foil at £39.99/$39.99. It includes five cards:

Mirrodinsanity

The last drop is . Though the cards are somewhat underwhelming, just being five artifact lands from Mirrodin, DXTR's pixel art on them is incredible. Lands that just tap for one colour might feel underwhelming, but artifact lands see a lot of play, particularly in Pauper where they can prop up the Affinity deck archetype.

There a🐻re five cards, and are available in regular printing🥃 for £29.99/$29.99, or in foil for £39.99/$39.99:

  • Ancient Den
  • Seat of the Synod
  • Vault of Whispers
  • Great Furnace
  • Tree of Tales

Finally, there are a few bundle options for those who want everything. The most basic is the , which includes the non-foil Stranger Things, Monster Movie Marathon, Read the Fine Print, Monster Anatomy 101, Thrilling Tales of the Undead and Mirrodinsanity for £189.99/$189.99. A foil version (that includes both the foil and etched Read the Fine Print), , is £279.99/$279.99. puts both of them together for £449.99/$449.🎃99.

All of these Secret Lair drops open for preorder on Monday, October 18 and ends on November 15, ahead of their prﷺinting in January, 2022.
