10 Mesuking
What do you get when you combine bugs, rock-paper-scissors, and women wrestlers? You get Mesuking. Mesuking is a minigame available in Yakuza Kiwami that Kiryu stumbles across after entering a Sega arcade. The game is simple enough, pick the 𝔍hand symbol you want to play and hope that you can beat out the other wrestler.
If you both play the same symbol, get ready to button mash to victory. The strange part about this minigame should be easy enough to recognize, that being women cosplaying as bugs and wrestling. Why this is in an arcade, we don’t know. But, if you're bored with the claw machine, you can always spend some Yen on this Mesuking.
9 🌄 Maj🧔ima Construction
Go꧟ro Majima has done a lot of things. He was the manager of the Cabaret Grand, the manager of Club Sunshine, and is a prominent figure in the Tojo Clan. But, did you know he was also the founder of a construction company? In Yakuza Kiwami 2, Kiryu helps out with Majima’s new ‘construction’ endeavors… by beating up other people who threaten his business.
In th🎃is minigame, you will create the perfect army of men and send them out for a top-down perspective battle. Make sure to recruit and level up your units before you deploy them in the field. Your reward for victory? All your workers singing a Majima Construction appreciation song and Majima doing 🐠a dance. At least the song is really catchy!
8 ꦗPocket Racing
Out of all the hobbies Kiryu has, outside of fighting, you wouldn’t expect toy car racing to be among them. But, in Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami, when Kiryu wasn’t beating up baddies, he was burning th🅷e rubber in this strange minigame.
In Pocket Racing, you build your perfect racing car and battle it out on the track. First place goes to whoever crosses the finish line the fastest.💫 Of course, the path to victory is filled with lots of twists, turns, and racing rivals, so watch out for those sharp corners and try to save your boosts for the final lap.
7 🍌 ♓ Real Estate Royale
Majima isn’t the only Yakuza character who has dabbled in different businesses and careers; Kiryu has too. Like in Yakuza 0, where he helps an up-and-coming real estate buﷺsiness beat out the Five Billionaires and eventually, the Finance King.
The Real Estate Royale minigame in Yakuza 0 has you buying up new properties and assigning managers, advisors, and security to said properties. You will have to keep an eye on how your staff members are doing while also actively looking for new buildings, recr෴uits, and ways to make money. It is a surprisingly strategic minigame but, li♍ke many other activities tied to substories, it usually ends with Kiryu punching someone.
6 Tatsuya Ramenꦦ

Yakuza 5 has you stepping into the shoes of Haruka as she tries to become ꦐa pop idol. Not only does she have to practice dancing and singing, but she also has to make public appearances and interact with her fans. One of these interactions is done at her handshaking event. In this minigame, you will have to shake your fans’ hands and give a polite response ♐to them. Seems simple right?
Well, you also have to make sure that your helper, ‘The Remover’, doesn’t accidentally scare away any fans before they get to meet Haruka. Plus, you have to make sure you areꦗ keeping your line of fans constantly moving without rushing them, all while the clock is ticking down. And you thought the Princess League was hard!
4 Spearfis🍸hing
There’s fishing, and then there is spearfishing from Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. Located in Omomic🐠hi, this activity tasks Kiryu💖 with diving under the sea and shooting fish in a first person, rail shooter minigame.
As Kiryu, you will follow a designated path and try to take down as many sea creatures (and treasure chests) as you can before you reach the final boss. Make sure to watch out for any aggressive fish who might crash into you, and be cautious of your ox♈ygen bar. Also, watch out for giant sharks.
3 D🔯isco Time 💞
Did you know that𝕴, in the eighties, Kiryu and Majima were Disco Kings? If you didn’t, then be sure to play this minigame in Yakuza 0. After you𒅌 slide onto the disco floor (literally) you will find yourself in a dance battle, either against yourself or with another club goer.
By taking steps and then pressing a corresponding prompted button, you can rack up combos and points to add to your score. Try to bust out your best moves before time runs out. Who knew that, on top of karaoke, two of the toughest 𓆉men 💮in the Yakuza series loved to dance as well?
2 Seagull Cinema Mov꧙ie Theater
Have you ever bought a ticket to a movie that you really wanted to se🅘e only to suddenly get🐻 tired right before it starts? If yes, then you should probably play this strange minigame from Yakuza: Like a Dragon. After sitting down in Seagull Cinema’s movie theater, you will be tasked with fending off herds of sleepy sheep. Or REM Rams as the game calls these critters.
The💝 Rams will pop up behind Kasuga and try to lure him to dreamland, making him miss out on a fun movie experience (and waste about a thousand Yen). Luckily, all you have to do to keep Kasuga awake is press the right butt🍬on to send the livestock flying. Just make sure you don’t accidentally hit the chicken holding the cymbals.
1 Baby Haruto𒁃
Despite the many people you will beat up and th🅰e many scandals you will uncover, Yakuza, at its core, is a story abo💞ut family. This is especially true in Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. After Haruka’s involvement in a hit-and-run, Kiryu is tasked with solving new mysteries while simultaneously taking care of his new grandson, Haruto. And this is where another strange minigame is revealed.
While trying to find out information about Haruka's past in Onomichi, Kiryu must also calm Haruto down when he cries. This is done by following the prompts given and physically raising and lowering your game controller. The strangest part about this minigame is that it only appears at the beginning of the game. Once you find a caretaker for Haruto, this minigame just disappears, and you are brought back to your regularly scheduled Yakuza fight fest.
