Stra𝓡tegy games can sometimes be a little light on characters due to their tactical and less personal nature. Game designers have found a way around this and have brought us some of the most memorable villains in gaming history. It is amazing work by the designers when you get that feeling that you are facing off, general to general, against a real personality on the other end.

Due to the explosion of real-time-strategy games years ago, there is a wide variety 𓆉of RTS villains from a variety of different themed games. It goes to show you how creative gaming developers got with their strategy games and the surrounding lore.

7 Kan💜e (Command And Conquer) ♓

Kane Command and Conquer

Not only is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Command and Conquer one of the most beloved 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Real-Time-Stra𓃲tegy franchises out there, but it also has one of thꩲe best villains. Kane, the leader of the Brotherhood of Nod in the first C&C game, is both mysterious and entertaining at the same time. Both Kane and NOD’s brutal methods were seemingly in contrast to the Global Defense Initiative, but as you dive deeper into Command and Conquer, you find that Kane has a much more complicated past, and the biggest threat isn’t NOD but rather the resource Tiberium.

6 Arcturus Mengsk (Starcraft) 𒊎

Arcturus Mengsk Starcraft 2 Cinematic

A bad guy with a sympathetic backstory, Mengsk was the villain you loved to hate in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Starcraft. His family was killed by the Terra🅷n Confederacy and his home planet was destroyed by a Confederate nuclear attack, so you can almost excuse his ruthless nature. Arcturus’ actions by lꦍeaving Sarah Kerrigan on a planet to be infested by the Zerg during the first Starcraft was a huge moment in the series.

Granted, he did this because Kerrigan killed hꦍis father years earlier, but this would lead to the Queen of Blades terrorizing the galaxy. Mengsk created the Dominion, which had heavy-handed and fascist tendencies that we and Starcraft protagonist Jim Raynor cannot s♊tand.

5 Gul&r🐻squo;dan (Warcraft 2)

Guldan Warcraft Movie

For those who played real-time strategies like Warcraft a lot in the 1990s, Gul’dan’s war-losing moves cost Orcs their foothold in Azeroth. Gul’dan was the first Orcish warlock and was essentially the reason his race answered to demons in the first couple of Warcraft games. Powerful, yes. Flawed? Definitely. Gul’dan’s quest for god-like power caused him to pull Orcish troops away from the main attack on L꧙ordaeron and look for the Tomb of Sargeras. In Warcraft 2’s master narrative stroke, when RTS didn’t really lean on story before, the demons inside the tomb killed Gul’dan. Then Gul’dan’s troops were killed by the Orcish Warchief Doomhammer, who was mad at their rebellion. Thi♛s basically guaranteed victory by humans and the Alliance, so thank you very much, Gul’dan.

4 🅷 Kerrigan (Starcraft)

Kerrigan Starcraft 2 Cinematic

Fans weren’t particularly happy when Kerrigan was turned back from being Zerg in Starcraft 2. That’s a true testament to just how good a villain the Queen of Blades is. Starcraft isn’t Starcraft without the Zerg horde, and Kerrigan provides that terrifying and vengeful leadership. Originally a Terran Ghost, then Zerg leader, then human again - she really has changed sides a lot, but we are here f🔯or it. Back in the late 90s, when you played the Starcraft campaign for the first time and came across Kerrigan as a Zerg, it hurt a little, and that’s saying a lot since graphics back then were just little sprites on the screen. Kerrigan is an RTS great, even if she became human again.

3 Arthas (Warcraft 3) ꦗ

Arthas Warcraft 3 Cinematic

Blizzard tends to love doing the whole “getting 🐈corrupted” storyline, but we’re okay 🧸with that in the case of Arthas Menethil. Warcraft 3 starts with the game’s eventual main villain being the first hero the player uses. As the crown prince of Lordaeron, Arthas cares deeply about his kingdom’s subjects, and that’s why he does everything he can to stop an evil plague.

Eventually, Arthas goes too far, purges the city of Statholme, and after killing the demon Mal’Ganis, has his soul taken. He becomes the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:ultimate Warcraft universe baddie, tꦍhe Lich King. This really could be a sort of “Wolf of Wall Street&🎉rdquo; movie set in the Warcraft Universe if they wanted to do it.

2 🧸 Yuri (Red Alert 2)

Yuri Red Alert 2

Yuri is giving off some awfully Rasputin-y vibes in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Red-Alert 2, although he looks more like Lenin. Originally an advisor to the Soviet Premier, just like Rasputin was an advi൩sor to the Czar; Yuri decides he is going to take things into his own hands. Yuri assassinates the Premier and makes attempts at taking over the world. It takes time travel to deal with Yuri, but in the end, this far-out plot line with a far-fetched villain is what maღde Red Alert 2 so fun to play.

1 Makaan (Homeworld 🃏2)ꩵ

Makaan Homeworld 2

In Homeworld 2, Makaan is a cunning warrior employing several different layers of tactics against the Higarans. His fleet has an ace in the hole: a third hyperspace core that allows him to &l🐼dquo;far jump.” Makaan built up his forces, attacked a Hilgara mothership, and then attacked the Hilgara homeworld. He then tried to lure the Hilgara flಌeet into a black hole as well but failed when they showed up well-prepared. Had he won that battle, however, he would have ruled the entire galaxy.
