Twitch streamer said she believes she may have been roofied at the recent Twitch Rivals event in Las Vegas. Fortunately, sh💜e knows she was unharmed as she was with two friends - also Twitch streamers - all night.
"Some weird shit happened, but it wasn't alcohol things," Maya said during a just chatting stream. "I was roofied my junior year of college. When I was in the bathroom [at Twitch Rivals], I was trying to focus on the lock on the door and it kept hitting the ceiling, and then time was skipping a lot - that's what it felt like when I was roofied in college.
"So I dumped the rest of my beer in the toilet, and I was like, 'Yeah this is not right.' You're awake the whole time but then you kinda wake up somewhere else and it's like there was a fast forward that you don't remember. That's what it felt like when I got roofied in college."
Later during the stream, Maya said that there was a man at the event who made her uncomfortable. She asked fellow streamer Myth to help ensure the stranger stayed away from her. When M🔯aya was gone 🔯for a period of time, the stranger asked where she was, furthering her suspicion of him.
"It's not that bad," Maya continued. "It's not a problem. I know nothing bad happened because I was with QT [QTCinderella] and Myth."
This isn't the first time someone has reported being roofied around a Twitch event. In 2019, streamer that she was roofied while at a bar filled with many Twitchcon attendees. She was hospitalised due to the combination of benzodiazepines and alcohol in her system.
Both benzodiazepines - chemicals that𓆉 are the active compound in date rape drugs such as roofies - and alcohol lower brain activity, so this combination can prove fatal.
