Streamlabs is already known for being a grea🀅t platform to stream online video games, and now it will be even easier to hold fundraising through an improvement to their third-party integrations. The new Charity Streaming integration is now live, and as charities begin to sign up for the service, they will appear directly within the new tool.
This new feature will allow users to sign up as a fundraiser through the charity’s website via a link 🌄generated for a streamers event, and all money raised will go directly to the charity. A user’s fundraising page will have everything one needs, including an integrated stream, real-time activity feed to engage viewers, charity branding to build trust with viewers, and the charity will receive all funds immediately.
The new native fundraising platform will certainly be a big push towards empowering charities to leverage the rising power of streamers without any added fees. This should be a major development when it comes to fundraising through streams, because several of the other popular platforms often take 🦄5% or more as a fee per donation. At the least, Streamlabs will force those other platforms to revisit their way of thinking and eithe🧔r come down to match the rate, or at least lower it. There does not seem any reason for a streamer to fund raise with anything but Streamlabs at this point.
Streamer🦋s should take note however that any standard PayPal processing 🍃fees will still apply.
The new features will also benefit how charities view the process as well. New features for charities that have signed up include a life dashboard to track progress of donations, review live streamers with fundraising events scheduled, and view the streamer🌟s that are currently raising funds.
To say that fundraising through streaming is important would be an understatement, as more and more streamers have been leveraging their popularity and influence in the name of charity. Benjamin “DrLupo” Lupo is perhaps the most succ♊essful in his fundraising efforts, acquiring nearly $1 million in a stream that lasted less than five hours for St. Jude Children's Research🅘 Hospital. He looks to shatter this record and hit $2 million soon, and there is no doubt that his work will inspire others to follow.
For now, streamers should to Streamlabs if they are not already using the platform and check out how they can up their own fundraising efforts. Every little bit helps, and Streamlabs is leading the way to ensඣure more money goes to where it can do the most good.
