Magic: The Gathering contains a plethora of iconic and unique creature types that players can use in their decks. When it comes to red creatures, few types are as iconic as goblins! While goblins have appeared in other colors such as black, the vast majority have appeared 🥀as red, most of characterized by their speed and large numbers.
Across Magic's history, we've seen numerous powerful legendary goblins, many of which are popular choices for players to build Commander decks around. So today, we're going to examine the ten strongest legendary goblins from Magic's past and see where their strength lies!
10 👍Squee, Goblin Nabob And Squee, The Immortal
The character of Squee has received two flavorful iterations that share a great d🔯eal of similarities. Squee, Goblin Nabob and Squee, the Immortal are each red legendary goblins for three mana a piece that are each capable of recurring themselves.
While Squee, Goblin Nabob states that it may be returned from its controller's grave to their hand during their upkeep, Squee, the Immortal can simply be cas𒐪t directly from its controller's graveyard or even exile! Both iterations of Squee are excellent additions to red decks that🦄 utilize large numbers of sacrifice and discard outlets.
9 Zoಌ-Zu, The Punisher
First appearing in Champions of Kamigawa, Zo-Zu, the Punisher is another mono-red goblin for three mana. Zo-Zu can be quite painful for one's opponents, as whenever a land enters thꦬe battlefield, Zo-Zu deals two damage to that land's controller.
While 🌳two damage doesn't seem like much at first, it can definitely add up, especially in a land-heavy format like Commander. When paired with red's access to land destruction spells, Zo-Zu, the Punisher can be quite the oppressive goblin.
8 🎀 Grenz♊o, Dungeon Warden
Grenzo, Dungeon Warden is a legendary Rakdos goblin who is quite the unique Commander choice. While there are many creatures in Magic that interact with the t🧸ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚop card of a player's library, Grenzo conversely interacts with the bottom card.
Costing two mana and X, Grenzo enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it. This is important as for two mana,꧂ Grenzo's controller can put the bottom card of their library into their graveyard. However, if that card is a creature with power less than or equal to Grenzo's it is put directly onto the battlefield. If a player invests a lot of mana into Grenzo, his large size can allow its controller to put numerous impactful creatures into play for a significantly reduce rate!

This is because Ib Halfheart causes blocked Goblins to immꦛediately be sacrificed, dealing four damage to creatures that blocked them. As the vast majority of goblins are quite small in size, it is often in an opponent's best interest to let smaller goblins hit them, rather than sustaining losses through blocking.
Additionally, Ib Halfheart can create two 1/1 goblins tokens at ♉the cost of two sacrificed mountains when trying to close out a game or whe𒐪n in a pinch.
6 ꧟ Grenzo, Havoc Raiser
The second incarnation of Grenzo, Grenzo, Havoc Raiser is a two-mana mono-red goblin from Conspiracy: Take The Crown. Toting a low mana cost that allows him to reliably𓆏 be cast early in mono-red decks, Grenzo possesses an ability that allows its controller to play spells from their opponents' libraries.
Whenever a creature under the control of Grenzo's owner deals combat damage to an opponent, Grenzo presents an option. Firstly, Grenzo may goad a creature, forcing it to attack. H🐽owever, the second of these options exiles the top card of the defending player's library, allowing Grenzo's controller to cast that spell with any color mana until the end of turn!
5 ꦑ 🍃 Muxus, Goblin Grandee
Recently released in Jumpstart, Muxus Goblin Grandee is a phenomenal choice for a Goblin commander. Some of the strongest cards in Magic's history are those that allow other spells to be cast for f🎐ree.
Muxus continues this trend, allowing its controller to look at the top six cards of their library when it enters the battlefield, then putting all goblins with a converted mana cost of five or less among them directly into play. This means that upon being cast, Muxus i📖s capable of generating a small army of goblins in an instant! As if this weren't enough, Muxus itself can be used as an offensive threat, gaining +1/+1 whene🌟ver it attacks for each goblin under its owner's control.
4 🌠Krenko, Mob 🍌Boss
Few names are as synonymous with goblins in Magic as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Krenko, Mob Boss. A 3/3 🌜goblin warrior for four 🍬mana, an unanswered Krenko can spell disaster for one's opponents.
This is due to Krenko's ✤tap ability that allows him to create X 1/1 red goblin tokens where X is equal to the number of goblins under the control of Krenko's owner. Doubling the size of one's goblin horde, if left alone for even a handful of turns, Krenko can produce astronomical amounts of tokens.
3 Mizzix Of The ⭕Izmagnus
Mizzix of the Izmagnus is an ideal 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Izzet Commander choice for players seeking to pilot a deck that utilizes many powerful instants and sorceries. One of the legendary creatures that utilizes experience counters from Commander 2015, Mizzix is a 2/2 goblin Wizard for four mana.
Mizzix notably allows its controller to cast massive instants and sorceries with a major c꧟ost reduction. Whenever that player casts an instant or sorcery with a converted mana cost greater than the amount of experience counters they have, thy get an experience counter. This is paramount as all instants and sorceries that player cast have their mana cost reduced by the number of experience counters they have!
2 Vial Smasher The Fierce 𝓀
A 2/3 Rakdos goblin for three mana, Vial Smasher the Fierce is often regarded as one of the strongest partner commanders in the꧋ game.
Whenever this goblin's controller casts their first spell each turn, Vial Smasher deals damage to a randomly selected player equal to that spell's converted mana cost to a randomly chosen pla♑yer! This allows Vial Smasher to deal vast amounts of damage over the course of a gꦯame while its controller simply casts spells they'd still be playing regardless!
1 Kiki-Jiki🅺, Mirror Breaker
