Beluna Grandsquall is one of those cards that will only get better with time. The creature side of Beluna is a respectable 4/4 that causes your permanent spells with the Adventure mechanic to cost one less. If you build your deck right, i𒁏t will make the majority of your deck a little cheaper to play, which can help accelerat🎉e you up in a game.

The more interesting part of Beluna though, is her adventure side. When you cast Seek Thrills, you mill yourself for seven cards, and then take everything you milled with an Adventure and put it in your hand. The odds are pretty good you'll be grabbing at least a few Adventure cards༒ when you have enough in your deck. As♉ Magic continues to print new cards with the Adventure mechanic, Beluna will only get stronger and more versatile.

You Have All The Time In The World

Coming from the Universes Beyond: Doctor Who expansion comes Me, the Immortal, a rather unique card that grows stronger the longer it is out in play. Once Me it out and it survives to your combat step, you get to pick one of four counters to put on it. You can repeat counters, so onceꩵ you get all the extra abilities on her, you can start ramping up the counters.

The unique thing with 🎐Me is that counters stay on her anytime she changes zones, other than if it would go into your hand or library, though you can always choose not to have it happen if she's your commander. She lets 𝓡you keep all counters on her too, not just the ones she adds, so if you can add a flying counter or even counters that would make her indestructible, they will stick around forever.

Always More Treasure To Be Found

One of the more unique commanders to ever be printed comes from a Secret Lair Universes Beyond tie-in with the Tomb Raider universe. Anytime Lara Croft attacks, you get to exile a legendary artifact or legendary land from anyone's graveyard, putting a discovery counter on it.

A three-mana Temur commander🦋, Averna, the Chaos Bloom is a solid option for those looking to build a deck around the ca𝔉scade mechanic. While cards with the cascade mechanic allow you to exile cards from the top of your library until you hit a spell with a lesser mana cost, casting that spell, this mechanic interacts very little with lands.

That's where Averna comes in. A 4/2 Elemental Shaman, Averna states that when triggering cascade, its controller can put a land from among the cards into🙈 play. This allows cascade effects to effectively double as mana ramp as long as Averna is in play.

Mutate Into Something New

Printed in Ikoria, Illuna, Apex of Wishes is a 6/6 with flying and trample for five mana. Boasting a mutate cost of six mana, Illuna allows each mutate effect in it💝s owner's deck to provide significantly more value.

Whenever this creature mutates, you exile cards from the top of your library until you hit aဣ nonland permanent card, putting that card directly into play or in your hand. This allows for massive and impactful permanents to be cheated into play, subverting high mana costs.

As Maelstrom Wanderer give🍃s all other creatures haste, if creatures are put into play via its cascade, they can attack or activate abilities as soon as they come into play.

Omnath, Locus of the Roil is a great commander choice for a Temur Elemental-themed deck. Up♌on entering the battlefield, Omnath deals an amount of damage to any target equal to the number of Elemental🧔s its owner controls.

Either removing a threat or dealing substantial damage to a player, this ability is quite useful, especially when casting Omnath within an already established board state. Omnath also synergizes with lands🅷 and mana ramp quite well, putting a +1/+1 counter on target elemental whenever you play a land, even drawing a card if you control eight or more lands when you do so.

A 2/2 Human Wizard for five mana, Riku of 🍷Two Reflections is a Temur commander that allows you to copy not only instants and sorceries, but any creature spell you cast as well. Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery, you can pay two mana (one red and one blue) to copy that spell.

Creatures you cast that become copies are now turned iꦆnto tokens with Riku.

Similarly, whenever you cast a creature spell, you may pay two mana (one green and one blue) to create a token copy of that creature. This 🐟allows you to double the value of nearly all of their spells as long as you have access to enough mana.
