Lithium is a valuable resource in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Subnautica: Below Zero used ꧑to craft late-game utility items, like the Prawn Suit Propulsion Cannon, as well as large habitat modules, like the Large Room. It's also a crucial component in Plasteel Ingots, which you will need for the final Depth upgrade for the Seatruck.
Despite its usefulness, Lithium isn't that difficult to find, if you k♔now where to look. There is a lot of Lithium up for grabs in the Purple Vents biome, although it can also be gifted by Sea Monkeys and found in Ore Veins. Here's a complete guide on where to find Lithium in Below Zero.
Where To Find Lithium In Subnautica: Below Zero
You're going to need 23 pieces of Lithium to craft everything Lithium-based a single time𒅌, alꦺthough you may need more to craft extra Plasteel Ingots or building chunks.
Lithium is used to craft useful items like:
- The Ultra High Capacity Tank, which requires four Lithium
- Various Prawn Suit upgrades, including the Propulsion Cannon and Grappling Arm, as well as the Torpedo Arm which 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:can be used to kill Leviathans
- Plasteel Ingots, used to construct the Prawn Suit and a variety of building modules
- Valuable Seatruck upgrades, including the Afterburner and Horsepower upgrades
Lithium is also a crucial crafting material for loads of different building modules. Not only will you need it to build the Large Room, but it's also used to build things like the Power Cell Charger and the Dome Roof for the Multipurpose Room.
This is why it's a good idea to start stockpiling Lithium. Eventually, you will need a lot to complete all your building projects, even if you're not going for a megabase. You can always168澳洲幸运5开🌺奖网: set u💟p a forward base close to the Purple Vents biome to make collecting Lithium a bit easier.
The best place to find loads of Lithium is the Purple Vents biome. Here's how to get there.
Guide To The Purple Vents Biome
The Purple Vents biome is located around 700 meters from your Drop Pod location. To get there, you need to head South-South East through the Thermal Spires biome.
Along the way, you'll see several Cryptosuchus - which can attack your Seatruck - and are best avoided by staying close to the seafloor.
Go past the Thermal Spires biome and you'll reach the Purple Vents. This biome is pretty obvious once you're there - there are multiple vents on the floor that spew purple liquid. These provide light when it's dark, so you can make this journey during the night.
Here's what you should have befor🙈e making the journey:
- Seatruck - Because of the multiple Cryptosuchus (and the Chelicerate that roams the North-Eastern corner of the Purple Vents biome), a Seatruck is your primary form of defense and escape. The Afterburner boost upgrade for the Seatruck is useful, but you do need Lithium to craft it.
- You will not be venturing any deeper than 100 meters while searching for Lithium, which means the Rebreather and High Capacity O2 tank are not necessary.
- Swimming Fins or the Seaglider are good choices for navigating the seafloor at speed. This should also give you the opportunity to escape if you do bump into either the Leviathan Chelicerate or a Cryptosuchus.
Lithium is found just lying around on the seafloor. There are loads of chunks around the Pur𝔍ple Ve🐷nts biome, and you can fill your inventory within 10 or 15 minutes.
You do not need to go very deep to find Lithium, and you don't really need a Mineral Scanner. The yellow sand of the Purple Vents biome makes it ea🍎sier to spot the sಌilver-grey Lithium.
Other biomes where you can find Lithium include:
- Crystal Caves
- Deep Twisty Bridges
- Thermal Spires
- East Arctic
Lithium Ore Veins in the Artic Spires
Ore Veins located in the Arctic Spires can contain larger amounts of Lithium. You can access these by using the Propulsion Cannon attachment for the Prawn Suit, which does require Lithium to construct anyway.
Considering the large amount of Lithium found in the Purple Vents biome, this might feel like an unnecessary venture. However, because the Ore Veins can also provide other materials, like Silver, Quartz, and Gold, taking a trip to the Veins in the Prawn Suit might still be worth your time.
Both entrances to the Arctic Spires are accessed via the Glacial Bay. On💖e is a narrow tunnel that is a difficult task with the Prawn Suit, and the second is across the Bridge which must be fuelled with Hydraulic ✱Fluid.
The Sea Monkey's Gift
Beware, spoilers ahead. Later inꦡ the game, once you've met Al-An and he invades your brain, the Sea Monkeys take a pretty different attitude towards you. Rather than stealing your tools and being a friendly nuisance, Sea Monkeys will occasionally gift resources.
While you're probably looking for something a bit more valuable than Lithium from the Sea Monkeys, like Diamonds or Gold, the extra Lithium is nothing to be sniffed at. Because you will probably need loads of Lithium to build everything you want, you should take it wheneve🌊r✃ it's offered.
