Goichi Suda, more commonly known as Suda51, is a unique Japanese director. He is known most for creating 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:No More Heroes, but he has many other titles under his bent. Titles that create new ideas, but d🔜on’t alw🦋ays follow through on the execution.

That is to say No More Heroes and the like are beloved by fꦺans for being goofy, over the top, original ideas. A core part of the experience may be broken, but they are still respected by a niche audience. This list then a✨ttempts to follow other divisive games. Games that are hard to recommend to a wider audience even if they are special, but are still good deep down.

10 Deadly Premonition (PC, PS3, Switch, Xbox 360)

Deadly Premonition is technically a survival-horror game, but one that barely works. It isn’t scary, the textures look lik꧋e they are constantly loading in, 🌟and controlling a car is about as precise as being able to avoid a hallway of bear traps in the dark.

That is just the beginning. That said the story and characters is what has garnered such a rabid fan💖 base and fits right in with Suda51’s quirky mentality. Isn’t that ri🧸ght, Zach?

9 Death Stranding (PC, PS4)

Most Hideo Kojima games fall under the zany umbrella, but most of them, like Metal Gear Solid, have great gameplay to back them up. His latest, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Death Stranding, is a bit more divisive.

Hiking back and forth across the post-apocalyptic landscape of the United States can♎ get repetitive and frustrating due to oddly place🦹d controls, constant interruptions from ghost-like entities, and other finicky gimmicks. That said, the bizarre nature of the world and story are worth seeing through.

8 Metal Gear Rising: Revengean🦋ce (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Raiden art slashing through metal

Speaking of Metal Gear, this spinoff was handed over to PlatinumGames to them a. crack at the franchise. Most games within their company could easily fall into this list like the recently re-released 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Bayonetta and Vanquish.

As weird as those two games can get, Metal Gear Rising takes the cake. From cutting down giant robots with katanas, to sneaking into the sewers with a sombrero, to the high-octane metal soundtrack, this game has a lot to offer both Suda51 and Metal Gear fans.

7 Asura’s Wrath (PS3, Xbox 360)

Continuing on the train to absurd town, Asura’s Wrath is one of the better Dragon Ball Z games, but not in an official capacity. It has huge, muscles up dudes punching each other and getting back up again and again to continue fighting. The craziest fight takes place in the moon. 𓂃Yes, THAT moon. It even 🐻has a spa scene found typicallyಞ in most Shonen anime!

The gameplay is mostly comprised of quick-time events with some brawler action thrown in-between. The biggest issue reviewers had with thiꦐs was calling it a "game" due to the laid back nature of the gameplay. It's more of a show than a game but sometimes, that's alright.

6 God Hand (PS2)

Shinji Mikami is another well regarded Japanese director in a similar fashion to Hideo Kojima. He is probably best known for helping create and has gone on to make a lot of great games. He even worked with Suda51 on Shadows of the Damned, which is also a good recommendation.

Anyway, one of his wildest creations that didn’t have reviewers universally acclaim it, but gathered a cult following regardless, was God Hand. Just look up the and that should help paint the vibe of this🅠 brawler!

5 Katamari Damacy (PS2, Switch)

Okay, let’s step away from the high-powered action for a second and get into a game with some truly unique and laid back mechanics: Katamari Damacy. One fine day t🎃he King of All Cosmos basically gets dꦯrunk and destroys the galaxy.

He then sends his tiny son to Earth in order to gather up materials with his magic ball who will then send it up into space to create new stars and planets. Does that sound unique enough? There are many games to choose from in this series, but the most accessible one is the 2018 remaster, Katamari Damacy Reroll.

4 Untitled Goose Game (PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One)

Untitled Goose Game - The Goose Honking In A Field Of Roses

Untitled Goose Game has a similar enough vibe to Katamari Damacy that it fits this list perfectly. Who would have thought one of the bigge🐟st games of 2019 would have starred a literal goose causing mischief?

It's essentially a stealth game where one has to perform a set amount of tasks with said goose in order to move onto the next area. Scare childreꦉn, make a picnic in a lake, pretend to be a human, and the list goes on.

3 Undertale (PC, PS4, Switch)

If Suda51 were to make a more traditional RPG, but with a twist, Undertale definitely feels like it hits the mark. Instead of typical comba♔t, which one can follow if they desire, battles are bette🌌r won by talking through them.

This is accompanied by some bullet-hell type dodging mechanics, some truly wond♍erfully written characters, and a soundtrack that will be stuck in one’s head for days. It's kind of like playing thro𒊎ugh a meme and is an easy recommendation for Suda51 fans.

2 Mister Mosquito (PS2)

Mister Mosquito is a lost gem among the PS2 greats. One could liken it to Shadow of the Colossus in a way. Play🔯ers are a hungry mos🐽quito that is terrifying a local Japanese family. All he wants is a little blood that players must suck stealthily, ꦆor else they wꩵill have to dodge the angered titans of the Yamada family.

It's admittedly a bit wonky to control and is pretty short if one knows what they are doing, but that aside, it's a b🃏ona fide cult classic worth seeking out.

1 NeverDead (PS3, Xbox 360)

NeverDead is without a doubt the 🎃worst reviewed game on this list. It has very little to offer in terms of fun gameplay, or a good, or even good/bad story, and yet it still made this list.

The biggest reason is the unique idea of having what is essentially a zombie for an action hero. Specifically, one that can reform its body and regroup lost limbs and even roll aroun♈d as just a head. It is far from good, but again, like the rest of these, it tries something. It mostly fails, but at least it tried.
