It hasn't been confirmed which characters will be made playable later in future seasons, but a recently found bugged voice line has given us a good idea as to one of them.
First spotted by Twitter user Lionsward, it seems as though there's a chance for Suicide Squad villain Braniac to accidentally talk to a character that isn't actually in the game yet during combat banter. In the image shared by Lionsward, Braniac says "I didn't expect you to be the weak link in this chain, Freeze", a name that should be familiar to fans of the Arkham series.
While most of you unfamiliar with the recent leaks surrounding Suicide Squad will probably assume Braniac is talking about Mr. Freeze, the game's alternate dimensions called Elseworlds make things a little more interesting. Suicide Squad leaker Miller Ross, who , claimed a while back that Victoria Fries will be the character added in a later season, an alternate universe version of the classic Mr. Freeze that we've seen in the Arkhamverse.
Suicide Squad's recent YouTube video discussing future seasons of the game also very briefly featured an unnaturally frosty location, further implying that Victoria Fries will be added a playable character down the line.
Quite why Braniac has started referencing Victoria Fries in his combat banter is a complete mystery, though some are speculating it has something to do with Harley Quinn. Given she's the only playable female character in the current roster, some are guessing that it has something to do with Harley Quinn's model being used to create Victoria Fries, and some wires have been crossed by the game's AI. Of course, that's just a theory, but it could be a possible explanation.
As for when Victoria Fries will be added as a playable character, that is up in the air. We know that Season 1 will see the return of The Joker, albeit a much different and inexperienced version than the one from the Arkhamverse, so we'll be waiting until at least Season 2 to see her added. Season 1 is set to begin at some point in March 2024, so we're probably looking at a few months at least.
