It was rumored for months, but now, at long last, Nintendo has revealed the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection. Not o𝓀nly that but after the reveal, the launch date was close at hand and now it is literally here. In some🏅 ways, this is exactly what fans wanted: ports of three great Mario titles.

Other fans are a bit let down by this collection. There are some games missing that would make sense to include. Plus, unlike other remasters, the additional features are a bit🐈 barebones. What are some things that Nintendo can add to make it well worth the $60? Let’s dig in.

10 Control Customization

By and large, all three games handle better thanks to the Pro Controller. Even with the Joy-Cons, the analog stick support alone makes them play like a dream. However, there are aspects that would be nice to change manually in the controls menu. For example, when manually aiming the water gun in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario Sunshine, pl🔥ayers have to use the left stick which can be awkward.

9 Camera Controls

On top of customizable controls, the right stick should be used for camera support. All three games feature a zoom in option but that is not the same thing as allowing players to fully rotate the camera. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario Galaxy is not🥂 as 🦩bad without it since most levels zoom out comfortably. A manual camera rotation is desperately needed in the other two Mario adventures, though.

8 God Mode

Extra lives feel like dinosaur technology. Who needs them? 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario Odyssey got rid of them finally but every game prior to that still relied on the 1-Up system. To allow more players to get into these games, a god-like mode would go a long way. This mode could eliminate damage on the high en𝔉d, or just get rid of the lives system on the low end.

7 Save States

If Nintendo doesn’t want to patch in some kind of in🐭vincibility mode then the next best thing would be to allow for save states. The NES🌳 and SNES Nintendo Online collections allow this.

Most emulators also ♊have this option built-in. Sure, the argument could be made that this would make the games too easy. If that’s a problem, then players don’t have to use them. Who is it hurting?

6 Widescreen Support For Super Mario 64

168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario Sunshine got the most work done to it in terms of HD smoothing. Super Mario Galaxy also looks great and while Super Mario 64 does as well, the aspect ratio is distracting. It’s not even a direct 4:3 image. It’s even smaller than that which is more distract𓆉ing in the Switch’s handheld mode. For $60, this game should have featured widescreen support.

5 Photo Mode

Modern games have photo modes and HD collections have photo modes. Not everything needs or has them of course, but the more games go on, the more this feature I’d be o I gotta common. Again, these games look great in HD even if 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario 64 is tiny. So it would have been great to play around with the camera in order to capture some precision shots to share around the world. The Swit🌠ch can naturally take screenshots but it’s not the same.

4 Level Options

A Super Mario Sunshine screenshot from Super Mario 3D All-Stars

Most Mario fans are used to being able to replay levels on repeat thanks to level selection. There are exceptions to this, but this rings true mostly for 2D adventures. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:3D Mario games are different. In Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine, once a Star or🍸 Shine Sprite mission is complete, players exit out and have to go back in. An option to n🔥ot get booted out and continue would be great, along with an option to replay certain scenarios, would be welcomed.

3 Skip Cutscenes

A Super Mario Sunshine screenshot from Super Mario 3D All-Stars

There aren’t many to speak of in Super Mario 64, but there are quite a few cutscenes and dialogue conversations tಞhat🎃 can’t be skipped in the other two games.

For new players, maybe they don’t want to skip anything. However, these adventures may be old for some players or maybe some just wꦆant to get straight to the action. That’s w🐓hy a skip option should be added.

2 Music Integration

The biggest addition to this collection are the soundtracks for all three games. This is nice in that they can be chosen and listened to in the main menu. However, there isn’t much reason to stay on the home screen. There is no art, for example, to look at. It would have made more sense to package the game with a digital code to get the soundtrack online via iTunes or something. A way to lꦜisten to the soundtrack while playing an☂y of these games would be better yet.

1 Super Mario Galaxy 2

The cover for Super Mario Galaxy 2

This is the biggest snub for fans. Where is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario Galaxy 2? The game wasn’t even featured in that Mario tribute video they showed in the Nintendo Direct. Sure, it’s more like Super Mario Galaxy 1.5 in that’s it features cut coไntent. That said, the c꧑ontent is great. In fact, it’s one of Nintendo’s highest-rated games on Metacritic so why are they seemingly so ashamed of it? Patch it in for free Nintendo. Do the right thing.
