10With the release of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario 3D All-Stars, more people are returning to classic Mario games than ever before. Many are excited about novel returns to the more recent 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario Sunshine and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mario Galaxy, but there are more players exploring the original 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario 64 lately than ever before.
This game was massive for its time, and collecting all 120 stars is still a challenge for both new and veteran players. Some of the m♎ost frustrating to find are the Secret Stars of Peach’s Castle, many of which involve more bizarre methods to obtain than those in the game’s actual levels.
7 The Secret Slide (x2) 🐬
Two of the earliest Secret Stars you can get in the game are right in the lobby of Peach’s Castle, just in the top-right room full of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:stained glass imag♏es of Princess Peach. Diving into the one to the right of the entrance will bring you to a carpeted slide in a dark void with a boxed star at t🦩he end.
Once you’ve obtainedꦡ this star, though, you’ll want to go back into the level one more time. Racing down the slide in under 21 seconds will cause an extra star to appear, which you can easily get by making smooth turns and holding forward on any straight paths.
6 The Secret Aquarium 🦩
Many Mario veterans are plenty aware of the secret hole in the wall in the room wi🍒th Jolly Roger Bay’s painting, but this one is much more cryptic than most for new players. Simply tu﷽rn to the right in the large room and jump high to reach a hole near the ceiling, and you’ll arrive in a small boxed aquarium.
This🌺 level is somewhat slow, and it's far from challenging. Simply collect the eight red coins and a star will spawn at the bottom, and, if you’re close to running out of breath, you can just grab some of the many coins floating nearby.
5 ꧙ Cap Level Red Coin♋s
One of the challenges with collecting the castle’s secret stars is that the game doesn’t track which ones you’ve collected. Knowing where to find them can be difficult, and many of them aren’t technically found in the levels. This includes the secret levels containing buttons to168澳洲幸运5开奖网: activate the game's sup✤er-powered ♋caps, all of which 𒅌🎉have a star you can obtain through collecting eight red coins.
These levels will usually show up while you progress, with the Metal Cap level being found inside of Hazy Maze Cave and the Wing Cap level being in the lobby when looking at the light source in the center of the lobby after you’ve collected ten stars. The level for the Vanish Cap is the most roundabout, requiring you to drain the moat by ground-pounding two pillars in the basement to reveal a hole to the lef🔯t of the castle’s entrance.
4 ꦚ Toad’s Gifts ꦏ
Three of the easiest-to-miss stars in the🎀 castle are obtained not through odd tasks or adventures, but simply from talking to NPCs. Throughout the castle are several Toads that wi𒁏ll normally just tell you their worries and give hints about the game’s controls, but three of them will give you a much more useful star.
One of these Toads is in the basement near the entrance to Hazy Maze Cave’s entrance pool, and the others are both upstairs. The first is standing in the cylindrical room after the spiral staircase, and the second is right next to the large grandfather clock that 𝓀acts as the entrance to Tick Tock Clock.
3 ⭕ Basement Bunny 👍
One of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:stranger characters in Super Mario 64 is Mips, a yellow rabbit jumping around the basement of the castle when you first enter. He might seem like aꦜn enemy or pet, but he’s actually holding a star that you can get by either punching or leaping forward into him with the action button while movi🐈ng to grab him.
He can be tricky to catch, but you can usually outrun him by curving quickly around corners since he usually sticks to the center of the hallways. He'll first appear in the flooded basement once you've o📖btained 15 stars in total, and he will appear again once you’ve gotten 50 stars holding a second star to grab.
2 Over The Rain෴bows ꦆ
The Secret Aquarium might be an obscure hidden level, but Over The Rainbows is one that many players can enter accidentally quite often. This is because it’s in the opposite hole to the entrance to Rainbow Ride, and, because it l🔴ooks identical, it can be easy to forget which hole is which.
Once inside, simply grab a 🎃Wing Cap and collect the red coins hiding among the clouds. Be🦄 careful not to fall to your death, though, as it will cause you to descend into the castle’s courtyard, making you backtrack through the whole castle just to get another shot.
1 ꦑ Bowser’s Red Co꧃ins
Much like the red coins found in the Cap Levels, there are three more stars in the list of the Castle’s Secret Stars that you wouldn’t exactly expect to fall in that category. This involves the game’s three Bowser levels, which each contain eight red coins to collect among the treacherous obstacles before 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:fighting Bowser himself.
If you want to save some time, the best time to do this is the first time you encounter the level, as collecting this star won’t teleport you back to Peach’s Castle. Each one ไspawns right near the entrance to Bowser’s arenas, meaning you can collect the star and save your game before facing off against the Koopa King.
