From the earliest games in the series, Mario has offered players multiple characters to choose from to take on the various levels of the adventure. It broke the mold by giving its playable characters their own distinct traits and abilities, though Yoshi and Nabbit aside, this is held back from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario Wonder.

Super Mario Wonder: Every Secret Exit In The Gaꦏme
We're going to let you in on some litt♎le secrets about Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
In which case, any list that ranks this all-star cast is going to need to rely less on mechanics, and more on memorable characterization. Whether it's iconic looks or past achievements, or even who looks funniest with Super Mario Bros. Wonder's Elephant Power-Up, we're ranking them all.
8 Nabbit
Nabbit's doubtless someone's fan favorite, but in all our conversations through the years, we've yet to find that person. He's like a less-weird Ravio from The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds - purple rabbit costume is there, but without all the flair. Nabbit has been around since New Super Mario Bros. U in 2012, making him - in relative terms - a newcomer to the Mario universe.
In Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Nabbit is one of two characters who effectively serve as the game's 'easy mode'. If you choose him, you won't take damage from enemies, though falling off ledges will still be lethal. Still, that puts him on something of a platform as a solid pick for beginners, provided those beginners actually prefer his aesthetic over the other character's...
7 Yoshi
The other one being Yoshi. Indeed, players can choose between four separate colors of our beloved dino pal in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, but no matter your shade, you'll be invulnerable to enemy attacks. You'll share the quasi-weakness with Nabbit of not being able to gain abilities through Power-Ups; on the other hand, you still have your foe-slurping tongue and fancy hops, so unlike Nabbit, there's some uniqueness on display here.

That doesn't change the fact that you'll see relatively few Yoshis when playing online, or with friends who are familiar with the game. For those who'd prefer the regular risks associated with 2D Mario games, there's the rest of the cast.
6 Toad
Have you heard the tragedy of Toad? It's not a story the... er, Toads... will tell you. The thing about Toad, is that there's really nothing much to say about Toad. He's one of the countless denizens of the Mushroom Kingdom - many of whom look like him, and are indeed called Toad - but your Toad is special, because he's taking a stand against Bowser and other villains.
That's all well and good, but he's still just... Toad. The real tragedy, however, is that poor Toad has been somewhat supplanted in fandom by someone who is almost also 'just Toad', but tossed four more letters at the end of her name...
5 Toadette
Toadette first appeared in New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, the 2019 HD revamp of that 2012 game that so cruelly spawned Nabbit. Her debut gimmick involves a Crown Power-Up that can transform her into Peachette, a kind of Toadstool-Peach (ignore the obvious Super Mario Bros. 2 joke). Toadette can't do that in Super Mario Bros. Wonder; after all, this one's all about badges to dictate the differences between character controls. But she still has something over Toad.

In Super Mario Bros. Wond🌺er, Badges make the Flower Kingdom 𓃲go 'round.
And that something is that she isn't Toad. What a difference four letters can make. There's something so cute about Toadette's voice clips, her ridiculous, almost honkytonk, sound effects, that makes her a breath of fresh air despite the staleness of so many of her fellow mushrooms.
4 Princꦐess Peach
It's great to see Princess Peach out on the frontlines these days. She's even starring in a game of her own this year for the first time since the somewhat underwhelming Super Princess Peach for Nintendo DS. It's dandy - we're thrilled. She doesn't even exchange her frilly pink dress for something more fight-worthy - there's no stopping Peach from being Peach.
Peach's consistently bedazzled grunts and facial expressions work well in Super Mario Bros. Wonder's graphics engine; you can really sense how splendid she feels when a job's well done, or how horrified she is when Bowser's around. She's very much a worthwhile addition to the roster, and we hope she avoids getting kidnapped in future mainline Mario games, too.
3 Princess ꧋Daisy 🍸
Stepping in from the sidelines and into a main role in a main franchise game for the first time ever is Princess Daisy, who has only enjoyed brief stints as a playable character in the past. Princess Daisy has always been ready to get her hands dirty and is never afraid to pitch in, so it only makes sense that she's here for this new game.
The true beauty behind Daisy is so many players recognize her as more robust, tomboyish, and rough-and-tumbling than her Mushroom Kingdom counterpart despite only a fraction of the player base having experienced the games where this is illustrated (like Fortune Street). People just know. In that way, taking control of Daisy feels like taking a stand - just look at the image we chose for her, and tell us she's not a force to be reckoned with.
2 Luigi
Luigi has been Mario's ride or die going way, way back, so of course he is also included in Super Mario Wonder. Maybe in this adventure, you will bring this sidekick out of the shadows and allow him to be the main hero he's always longed to be... but let’s be serious, Luigi is player number two for a reason.
Luigi has noticeably jumped higher than his shorter brother in previous games in the Mario series, but not this time. As is the case across the board with the non-easy-mode cast, Luigi and Mario have the exact same skill set and abilities and perform them in the same way, so it's all down to taste. And we're going to be incredibly petty in our determination as to which brother rules the day in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, as you'll soon find out.
1 Mario
Here's the thing. If Mario and Luigi are functionally identical, we have to start thinking deeper. Or more shallow, as the case may be. Super Mario Bros. Wonder has a gorgeous art style. The colors really pop. We just happen to think some colors pop more than others. And that includes red getting better treatment than green. So many of the reds in this game are rich; so many of the greens can be a bit flat by comparison.
That's right. We just decided Mario is the best playable character in Super Mario Bros. Wonder because his shirt looks shinier due entirely to technical reasons. As ever, Luigi gets short shrift. Poor guy. But truly, what did you expect from a list that ranks a cast with so few gameplay deviations? An encyclopedic examination of Mario and Luigi's childhood traumas, followed by a psychological evaluation of who has healed the most? It's Mario, not The Witcher - just roll with it!
