The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario franchise is the biggest name in Nintendo’s repertoire. Their moustachioed main man has appeared in168澳洲幸运5开奖网: countl꧋ess priceless titles of 🧜his own, not to mention an almost infinite number of cameo appearances a🤪nd spin-offs. Alongside the hero himself, the Mushroom Kingdom’s quirky supporting cast are some of🍨 the most beloved characters around.
They certainly share some interesting relationships, too. From romantic relationships (such as that between Luigi and Daisy) to rivalries and platonic pairings (Bowser and his dastardly son and the Mario brothers themselves), here are some of the best and worst relationships in Super Mario history.
10 EVE🌳RYONE LOVES: Mario and Peach 💯
Ah, yes. Where would the series be without this iconic pairing? Wh✱ile Mario and Peach’s relationship can at best be described as complicated, there’s no꧋ doubt that there’s a huge amount of mutual affection here.
Mario’s never explicitly been the Prince of the Mushroom Kingdom, but fans have been considering this relationship official for decades. It doesn’t matter 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:which horrors befall Peach next, Mario will be there to save the day.
9 JUST ANNOYING: Bowser And P🍎each ꦦ
The forbidden love between a dainty princess and a huge, terrifying, fire-breathing 🦂lizard of pure fury and destruction. Somehow, these two just ꦰcan’t seem to work it out. We can’t imagine why.
Unlike Mario, Bowser is confirmed to be in love with Peach, but he’s just going the wrong way about it. Constant kidnappings and devious schemes just aren’𓂃t the way to make a potential partner feel special. He’s tried all sorts of plans and and claim the princess for his own, but nothing worked. By this point, the whole ‘Bowser kidnaps Peach… again’ plotline has become jꦚust a teensy bit stale.
8 EVERYONE LOVES: Luigi And Daisyꦛ
Now we’re talking. There’s something about supporting the underdog that just feels right, isn’t there? After all those years spent playing second fiddle to Mario, being the target of all the snarky joke𒅌s, the younger, skinnier, scaredy-cat brother deserved a love interest of his very own.
Iconic as Mario and Peach are, it’s probably🌊 time that the duo’s less famous counterparts got a moment in the limelight. There’s a lot of potential for L𝄹uigi and Daisy, and it deserves to be explored.
7 𒁏 JUST ANNOYING: Wario And Waluigi
No, this isn’t a romantic pairing, but this devious double-act is irritating on so many levels. For one thing, they’re portrayed as the ‘evil’ versions of the Mario brothers, with Wario serving as the antagonist in his very first video game appearance: Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins,🔴 in which he had stolen Mario’s castle for himself.
For another, many have become tired of the very mention of Waluigi, what with all the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Smash Bros. talk. Most egregiously, though, we just don’t know where we stand with these two. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:If they aren’t brothers, what’s going on here? Who exactly are they?
6 🌊 EVERYONE LOVES: Mario And Pauline ♏
Yes, fans always make a fuss about Mario and Peach, but Mario’s original love interest arrived on the scene long before Peach even existed. Pauline debuted in arcade classic Donkey Kong, as the unfortunate character ‘Jumpไm🦂an’ had to rescue from the great ape’s clutches.
Since then, she has largely been absent from the series, though she made a high profile appearance in Nintendo Switch hit 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario Odyssey. This was a move that long-time franchise fans appreciated, and as the industry ♕embraces its past more and more, our appetite to see more from this classic couple increases too.
5 JUST ANNOYING꧙: Goomba Mario And Goombeꦐtte
On the subject of Super Mario Odyssey, the game also introduced ♐a brand🐠-new couple to the mix: a Goomba-fied Mario (or a Mario-fied Goomba, to be more accurate) and Goombette.
Goombette appears throughout the kingdoms of Odyssey, in various obscure locations. She represents a puzzle of sorts, in which Mario has to build a stack of Goombas tall enough to reach her. She𒊎’ll panic and run if Mario simply jumps up to her himself, but when he approaches her as a Goomba, she’ll fall in love and produce yet another moon for our hero to nab. The only real trouble here is that some of the Goombette puzzles can be a major pain.
4 EVERYONE LOVES: Yoshi And Birdo 🌄
Next, we’ve got another classic underdog story for the ages. For🍌 much of Yoshi’s career, the poor little creature has existed only to serve as a ride for Mario. Yoshi takes a hit for our hero, charges forward and falls into a bottomless pit, and that’s really all she wrote.
Meanwhile, it’s been a long time since Birdo was relevant in… well, anything at all, really. Cameo appearances don’t count for very much in t🌟he grand scheme of things. Nevertheless, these two make an ex♑cellent Mushroom Kingdom couple, and it’s great that they can find some solace in each other.
3 🤪 JUST ANNOYING: Toad And Toadette
꧟Don’t get us wrong here. We can appreciate Toad, we really can. That shrill, whining voice, the mystery regarding the hat that it may or may not be wearing… what’s not to like?
However, the sad reality is that we know precious little about these creatures. Toadette is also adorable, but she’s often favored over more interesting character roster choices. Neither Toad nor Toadette are part🌠icularly fleshed-out personalities either. How are they related? Where do the rest of the differently-colored Toads fit in? Whatever kind of relationship this is, we just don’t know what’s going on here.
2 𝔉 EVERYONE LOVES: Mario And Luigi ꦆ
Well, who else? When it comes to beloved duos of the Mushroom Kingdom, the Mario brothers themselves are right at the top of the pile. Luigi himself is now far from t﷽he simple Mario palette swap he used to be, having developed a distinct personality🐻 that has garnered him almost as many fans as Mario.
Whether together or separate, Mario and Luigi have engaged in countless adventures and starred in some of the be༺st games ever to hit Nintendo systems (o🐽r beyond). This dynamic duo will always be iconic.
1 ꦡ JUST ANNOYING: Bowser And Bowser Jr.
As we know, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Bowser is Mario’s eternal nemesis. How many times has the pair clashed over the years? A whole lot, that’s how many. The Super Mario series would have little to no 🍒impetus without Bowser’s shenaniga✱ns.
When it comes to Bowser’s children, then, there was no question that this animosity towards the crimson-clad hero would be inherited. Bowser Jr has also brought the fight to Mario, in boss battles alongside his father and by himself. Most memorably, in Super Mario Sunshine, he disguised himself as S🌠hadow Mario and caused all of the mayhem that Mario was blamed for on Isle Delfino. This pestilent father and so🎀n duo are always making a nuisance of themselves.
