However, just like pretty much every JRPG out there, Super Mario RPG hides an incredibly tough superboss for players to test their skills against. That's not the most impressive feat we've seen involving Culex though, as another player has been casually beating him solo with each character in the game over the past couple of weeks. The individual in question is YouTuber OmegaEvolution, who began their systematic embarrassment of Culex nine days ago by beating him with just Mario.

Super Mario RPG fans among you will know that you can't actually go into a fight with just one character. To get around that, OmegaEvolution heals their intended victor and leaves the other two characters to get knocked out in the first or second round, guarding with them if Culex or one of his crystals happens to miss. After that, they then start to lay on the hurt with their character of choice, and each video is just as impressive as the last.
OmegaEvolution starts out with Mario, equipping him with a Super Suit and using area of effect attacks, in conjunction with attack boosting items, and Red Essence to make the plumber invincible and withstand the attacks from Culex. Once his crystals are down, it's time for Mario to bust out his slightly overpowered Super Jump, as OmegaEvolution manages to rack up several large combos to deal tonnes of damage.
A very similar tactic is used for Bowser, Geno, and ℱMallow too, but they obviously use moves other than Super Jump to start dishing out the damage to Culex once his crystals are down. Peach was the final character to humiliate Culex, who uses the Psych Bomb ability to deal loads of damage to every enemy on the field, and then Energizers mixed with standard attacks to pummel him into submission.
It's a pretty stunning display of timing, reflexes, and planning for OmegaEvolution to take down Culex with just a single character, and that's even without doing it five times on the bounce. If you want some stats, it took Bowser the longest to take him down at 40 turns, with Mario being the most efficient at 30 turns. Culex will be hoping he can get some rest now that his ordeal is over, though something tells me OmegaEvolution isn't quite done with him just yet.
