Right at the entrance to the area, you'll see a bunch of doors lined up next to one another.

How To Unlock The Culex Boss Fight
The first step to unlocking the Culex boss fight is to make sure that you've completed the final quest of Super Mario RPG. Once you've done this, you'll get a save file that has a star next to it, indicating that you've beaten the game. Now, load that save file and you'll be placed back in the world before having beaten Smithy, letting you clear up anything you haven't finished.
Now, head on over to Moleville. Once you've spawned into the area, head to the Northwest side of the town, which has a house next to a few crates. Go inside the house and speak to the mole wearing green, who will offer to sell you Fireworks for 500 coins each. That might seem like a hefty price (and it is) but go ahead and buy theꦡm anyway.
After buying the Fireworks, head outside of the house and go over to the crates I mentioned earlier. You'll see a small mole wearing pink who will offer to trade your Fireworks for a "Shiny Stone". Ignore the fact you're giving explosives to a child and make the trade, as this is the key to entering the Culex fight.
Head on over back to Monstro Town once you've got the Shiny Stone and interact with the door that was previously inaccessible. You'll get a message saying that the stone is reacting to the door, which is actually it being unlocked. You'll now be able to enter the door and access the fight with Culex, which is one of the toughest challenges in the wh🍌ole game, and makes Smithy look like a joke. Good luck!
