Nintendo has been able to turn out dozens of series that have been influential on the video game industry, but it’s often their Super Mario games that signal the most innovation and prove what the company can really accomplish with a good idea. Super Mario was already extremely popular on the NES and Game Boy, but the release of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario World on the Super Nintendo marked a major turni🐭ng poiꦆnt for the games.
Super Mario World is still viewed as an achievement for both the series and the SNES. It’s usually the platforming sections that are the biggest challenge in Super Mario titles, but the bosses in Super Mario World cover a wide range from easy to maddening.
10 🔴 Iggy Koopa 𒀰
Many of the bosses that challenge Mario during his adventure in Super Mario World are Bowser's dedicated and resilient Koopa Kids. Super Mario World isn't the first game where these 𝓡threats appear, but it incorporꦬates the characters in a creative way. Iggy Koopa is the first Koopa boss in the title, so it's not surprising that he feels more like a tutorial than a real challenge. Mario just needs to land some jumps on Iggy and knock him into the lava as the battlefield tilts back and forth. It's a fight that can even be won by accident.
9 Lemmyℱ Koopa
Lemmy Koopa is the third Koopa Kid boss that attempts to take down Mario before he can make his way to Bowser. Despite how the boss has a creative gimmick that makes use of Mario's trusted warp pipes, this boss is on the easier side of obstacles. Lemmy is like a modified version of a whack-a-mole. Three versions of him pop out, but only one is the real one. Lemmy becomes even easier if Mario has 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:fire power or is able to use his spin jump. He can just spa🍸m the field and take out all of the enemies.
8 Morton Koopa Jr. ▨
Morton Koopa Jr. is the second Koopa Kid boss that Mario encounters at the end of the Donuts Plains world and while he poses a greater challenge than his brother, Iggy, he's still relatively easy in the grander scheme of the boss fights in Super Mario World. This is anoth🐷er fig🌠ht that makes a lot of use out of a big pit of lava.
Mario's goal is rather simple and he just needs to jump on Mo🍷rton's head three times. The lava isn't very intimidating and it's more so Morton's pattern of movements that can throw off Mario's rhythm here.
7 🐟 Wendy O. Koopa
Wendy O. Koopa is interesting for the fact that she's the only female member of the Koopa Kids, but her boss strategy isn't the most original when it comes to Super Mario World's battles. Wendy is nearly the final Koopa Kid that's faced, but she just rips off Lemmy's pipe gimmick, but adds slightly more of a challenge. Wendy's boss fight features two fireballs that ricochet through the level and make getting a good jump on Wendy more difficult, but it's one ꩲof the lazier boss battle designs and makes Lemmy seem more irrelevant in retrospect.
6 🎉🍬 Larry Koopa
Larry Koopa is the penultimate boss battle in the game, but the concept of this fight is another example of Super Mario World getting lazy. This is a fight that just adds some fireballs to a pre-existing battle to make things marginally more difficult. Larry's boss battle is basically the same as Iggy's tilting platform scenario, only now fireballs fill the sky and make the encounter more stressful. It’s not the best idea for one of the final boss battles to crib from the first one, but not every Koopaဣ Kid can be a winner.
5 Reznors
The Reznors are one of the more creative boss battles in Super Mario World. The Reznors aren’t that tough of a challenge, but they can still be overwhelming. Four Reznors sit atop different rotating platforms and spit out fire. The goal is to topple all of them, but the center platform of the stage begins to🐬 submerge into lava after two of them are defeated.
The Reznors still aren't much of a challenge and require basic 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:platforming skills. The only reason they're not the easꦍiest of bosses is because there are four of them that need to be defeated.
4 Ludwig 🎉Von Koopa𓆉
Ludwig von Koopa is a particularly strange member of the Koopa Kids since he seems to bear inspiration from the musical composer Beethoven, both in terms of his name and his appearance. Ludwig's boss fight is like a combination of what Iggy and Morton bring to the table, so he's marginally more difficult than them, but still not that harder than standard enemies. Ludwig's offense co෴mes in the form of laun🙈ching fireballs and trying to hit Mario with his shell, but decent dodging skills will result in a quick victory.
3 The Big "Bo♑o”
The Super Mario series typically features a boss battle that incorporates a giant version of a Boo. Super Mario World contains periodic ghost houses, which contain Big "Boos" as a larger challenge. Due to this boss’ size, Mario can't resort to his standard jumping tricks and the Big "Boo" is transparent so Mario cant' actually hurt him. Instead, there are two regular Boos that Mario must focus on. After these Boos are hurt with nearby blocks, the larger 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:poltergeist will disappear. The solution its🎃elf is a littleꦫ tricky, but the strategy is also more challenging than most Koopaling fights.
2 Roy Koopa
Roy Koopa is the boss fight that ensues after the destruction of the forest fortress and while a calm mind can easily defeat the boss, those that are quick to panic may struggle with Roy due to how the walls of the encounter slowly push in. Time is almost more of the threat here than Roy himself and it reflects the evolving sensibilities of Super Mario games. Some well-timed jumps will eliminate Roy, but don't take too long. Roy’s ricochet nature can sometimes be hard to dodge, especially when there’s less room in the ar෴ea and time is low.
1 Bowser
Most of the bosses in Super Mario World are just Bowser’s neglected minions, so it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that Bowser’s final challenge also poses the most difficulty. This fight gives Bowser more agency in comparison to previous 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Mario Bros. games. The defeat of Bowser requires more of a strategy than simply jumping on his head three times and the battle consists of three rounds of contrastingꦓ difficulty. The use of Mecha-Koopas as weapons is crucial here and even though Bowser puts up a good fight, he's not that hard after each round's pattern is learned.
