With a cast of 89 ch▨a🦂racters, the largest in fighting game history, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Smash Bros Ultimate has a fantastic array of fighters, each with varying specialties. From the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:strong sword characters in Lucina and Sephiroth, to the rushdown specialists in Joke🎀r and Pikachu, players have a bevy of options when selecting characters based on their play 𒆙style.
Another character archetype in Ultimate is the zoner. The definition of a zoner is a character that wants to fight enemies from as far away as possible, using projectiles and long range combat rather than fighting at close quarters. This list will f🌜ocus on the best fighters that use distance not only as a weapon in their neutral and set up game, but to execute kills as well.
10 🦹 Simon And Richt🌜er
With three powerful projectiles and a whip at൩ their disposal, Simon and Richter can force opponents into a maze of hazards. Th♐eir boomerang can be fired directly forward, holy water can stun opponents and be followed up by a smash attack, and the axe can be hurled upwards for a powerful kill option.
Unfortunately, Simon and Richter’s lackluster recovery holds them back from climbinꦇg up this list. Though they have phenomenal neutral game and ledge trapping capabilities, it is very difficuಌlt for them to get back onstage if knocked off, and can be easily edge guarded.
9 Duck Hunt
This classic character's entire kit is designed around fighting at a distance. The key to their moveset lies in their neutral special, the exploding cans. With low start-up time, these cans can be flung across the stage and strategically controlled and set in advantageous positions. When well-placed, these cans can lead to combos and even kills.
Coupled with Duck Hunt's Frisbee and gunner attacks, the dog and bird have many weapons to keep enemies at bay. But much like the previous entry, a poor recovery that leaves the duo quite vulnerable offstage is highly detrimental to their overall fighting prowess.
8 Hero
Hero has the distinct honor of having the highest number of moves in Smash Ultimate. With his command menu, he is given four random moves out of a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:pool of 21 spells to choose from. While many of these moves are buffs or specialized sword strikes, a great number are powerful spells that can rack up lots of damage. Kabo🦩om, for example, is a potent attack with a large range that is fantastic for edge guarding.
All these spells, in addition to H🔯ero’s normal moves, and the frizz and zap line of spells make him a force to be reckoned with. But be warned: using these spells excessively can leave Hero with little mana points and greatly diminish his power and hinder his recovery.
7 Olimar
When utili✤zed at full capacity, Olimar can be one of the most frustrating characters to play against. Olimar’s main strategy is to pluck Pikmin from the ground anꦯd hurl them at opponents. With five different types of Pikmin, each with varying properties, Olimar can hit hard with a Purple Pikmin, do residual damage with white Pikmin, and pull off more damaging throws with Blue Pikmin, all while keeping a safe distance from the enemy.
Though Olimar can only wield three Pikmin at once, and they can be killed if they take too much damage, Olimar can immediately pull another from the ༒ground, so he can con♊sistently be armed with these potent yet adorable projectiles.
6 Mega Man
Ultimate does a fantastic job of preserving the feel of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Mega Man from his original series - a fighter who rarely makes physical contact with the opponent and relies on a multitude of projectiles to deal d🎀amage. His most potent tool lies in his lemons, which can be used to control neutral, and charge into a formidable smash attack with long range.
Mega Man has tons of options for keeping opponents at bay. Ranging from his pesky leaf shield used to stun opponents to his metal blade which can be held onto and thrown at will, there's no shortage of hazards that will come flying at the opponent. Coupled with some powerful aerial attacks, Mega Man has a fantastic set of tools to experiment with.
5 ♛ Samus And Darꦦk Samus
Since Smash 64, Samus (and her new echo fighter Dark Samus) has been keeping opponents at bay with her infamous charge shot. This multifaceted move is one of the best attacks in Ultimate, as it🃏 can be used in almost every situation - from ledge trapping, to kill power, to even a weaker charge beam being followed up by a dash attack, it is an incredibly versatile move.
Samus and Dark Samus also have a missile that can hone in on the opponent, a tether grab, and a pesky bomb in the form of their down special. All these strong yet easy-to-use tools make Samus and her echo fighter not only premiere zoners, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:but also fantastic options for be🏅g🎃inners.
4 Snake
Out of all the zoners in Ultimate, Snake is perhaps the most tactical of the bunch. Rather than depending on aimlessly hurling projectiles, Snake relies more on setting traps anᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚd luring opponents into specific areas where they can be punished. With his down special, Snake can plant a C4 bomb somewhere on the stage (or on an unsuspecting oppone💖nt), and it can be detonated at his command, forcing players to avoid parts of the map.
Snake also wi🐓elds grenades, which can be hurled quickly across the stage and can get Snake out of combos. And, of course, his infamous remote missile, which can be 🎐controlled after fired, and is a nightmare for enemies attempting to recover offstage. And even if enemies can get in close, that pesky up tilt is a great option with tons of speed and power.
3 Pac-Man
With an arsenal of eight different projectiles at his disposal, Pac-Man has a plethora of tools to keep opponents at arm's length. For example, oranges are a basic projectile that fly straight forward and do modest damage, whereas the Boss Galaxian flies forward and then loops through the air, hitting multiple times if placed correctly.
Then there’s Pac-Man’s bell, which doesn’t do much damage, but can stun enemies and allow for a strong smash attack follow up. Pac-Man also can spawn a fire hydrant, which can spew water and push enemies around♑ the map, and also be hit at various angles towards unsuspecting opponents. Pac-Man can be difficult to master with such a multitude of tools, but has potential to be one of the best zoners in Ultimate if you take the time to learn him.
2 ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚ Young Link
Though absent from the Smash series since Melee, Young Link burst back onto the scene in Ultimate with a ven🍷geance. Equipped with bombs and a boomerang, Young Link has strong tools to keep opponents far away. Not only that but Young Link’s projectiles have surprisingly low start-up and cool down mak꧟ing it easy to continually force enemies into unfavorable positions.
But Young Link’s greatest weapons are his fire arrows, which send opponents flying upwards upon contact. When approaching with this tool, the arrows can combo into forward air, up air, or up special to create fantasti🔜c kill confirmations.
1 Min Min
Though she doesn’t technically use projectiles as part of her arsenal, Min Min&rs♊quo;s absurdly long arms make her the premier spacing character in the game. Min Min has three options in which arms to deploy: the Ramram, which is quick and makes a circular shape, the dragon, which reaches a long distance and shoots fire, and the Megaw♎att, which is slow but extremely powerful.
Using these three arms in the appropriate situations makes Min Min incredibly difficult to approach, as many of the characters in the cast will struggle even making contact with a melee attack. And if players do manage to get in close, she also has a strong up smash to keep them at bay. All these tools not o🌳nly make Min Min the premiere zoner in Ultimate, but one of the best cha♈racters in the game.
